Joe, want to try a 1 on 1 online race? Send me a PM and i'll host a game for you.

Edit: Wow, ok, D-Pad control in this game is actually sublime.

6 notches of sensitivity and it's a wonder to control. Sod the nub!

Lol see, put it up by 2 notches and it rocks imo. The nub is too floaty for me. I'm at work and so I cannot get online right now. I'd have to speak to the IT guy about letting my PSP access the network. I should be alright a bit later today though.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

Could it be a Hard Drive cache issue ? . It can't be the drive or the console (I hope) I only got it last year brand new , and every other game works fine
It might be a cache issue, when you first load the game it caches all the music to the Harddrive, which can take a while. Depends if you were playing something else immediately prior to playing OutRun and going online?

Seriously - we've never seen this, and it's had quite a beating between us, Sega and MS. It does batter the hardware some - but the levels should load in plenty of time.

If you're still getting it regular - give me an idea of the levels it happens on... At least I can check if they are the 'bigger' ones, which would point at it not being able to load in.

Game modes are all there from the console version as far as I can tell.

I haven't been able to play the PS2 version online, but everything all seems to be here.

Outrun mode, Goal mode where you follow a specific route instead of letting the leader choose one, you can even play the 15 Stage route online!

You have a choice of Outrun 2 or Outrun 2 SP tracks

Car type - Outrun2SP, or Outrun 2006. So i'm guessing you can either use the arcade cars, or the cars you've unlocked through miles. You can also restrict car class.

Catch up and collision options are on.

I'm about to try it online now.

Just entered a three player race.

Veeeeery good! One player's car was jumping about like mad but he soon returned to the lobby and it ended up with a very close 1 vs 1 race in Outrun spec cars.

                    Won by 2 seconds.

Am I right in saying that turning off WLAN Power Save, will boost the signal strength a bit? Or should I leave it on?

Also, i'm starting to adjust to using the analog nub a bit more now. Control definately takes some getting used to but once you've got it nailed it's quality.

Got the PSP and Xbox versions this morning. I already knew the XB one was stunning but Sumo have exceeded what I thought was possible with the PSP version. Yes the framerate is noticeably lower but it is still an absolutely storming conversion. I thought that Liberty City Stories was technical occimplished but this completely blows it out of the water.

I don't care if the 'usual suspects' jump on me for this. This IS the reason to own a PSP.

S0L, I don't know how you guys pulled it off but you clearly have t3h m4d Sk1Llz!!!111!!

This game has my vote aswell for 'reason to own a PSP'. Especially with the PS2 save linkup, I started off today with a 62% complete save.

Nope - no can do - it's up to Sega when they get released, I think I'd rather stay in their good books
