woo, finally finished the game, 50 hours lol, ceraintly much bigger than i ever though it would be! got full maks for everythign at the end which i guess is nice, but dont think i got all the stray beads.
overall i enjoyed it, i agree sometimes the story felt like it was going off on one, but it seemed to tie in at the end i liked the
time travel to the past, that was really nice
and there was some really spine tingling bits in the game. its certainly up there with zelda, and will give twilight princess a run for its money tbh. bad things id say the weapons are all pretty much the same thing and collecting treasures u care nothing about is a bit tiresome, u might as well just get money as u just sell em straight away. hwoever theyre minor niggles. a deffinate 9/10 from me, id love to stick a + on that too, its not quite a 10, but its as close as ive seen in a long time.Last edited by Mr Fujisawa; 12-11-2006, 21:37.

Got this thursday last week. Onyl an hour in, but am loving it loving it loving it, soooo beautiful, cannot really say much else really, it is like a work of art in game form, just so lush. COmparisons to Zelda are justified - very similar sort of style, reminding me of the first time i played OOT.
How the **** am I going to play this through though with Wii out in mere days? have also just scored God Hand as well, not even done half hour on that yet! What is wrong with me?
Anyways, am off to play Okami some more as am off works today

And the game itself is bloody brilliant. I'm about 20 hours into it now, having fought and defeated
Orochi
, (and what a battle that was! bleedin' phenomenal!) and now I'm on my way to the coast. I still feel I haven't scratched the surface. So far, the game feels like this big epic film that just flies by despite its' length. I was so engrossed, those 20 hours didn't feel very long at all. Feckin' marvelous.

I started the PAL version yesterday (promo straight from capcom), pretty much blown away so far. Took me a little while to get used to it and I do have a few faults, but I don't think I've ever played a game so rich in charm, love and detail. Absolutely mind-blowing stuff.
I feel it is leading me by the hand too much, but also not in the right areas. I still don't quite understand several things about the mechanics, but three hours in and they haven't been explained - yet i've been told about a few other things several times even though they were blatently obvious. In this regard the game isn't as polished as Zelda, however I think so far I am enjoying it more than Zelda TP. Where as Zelda felt like I was running through a set - though refined - template, this feels fresh and exciting.
So far so good.
(PAL looks and runs great on my LCD TV, though I'm only running it via RGB)

Hmh, I have played this game for about 20 hours, but I'm not really that impressed. Sure, it is goddamn beautiful looking and well-crafted, but also extremely clinical and formulaic at same time. Can't really explain why I feel like this, but I'm probably overburned on Zelda-esque adventure genre.

I can see what you mean in that respect - it's essentially a by-the-numbers Zelda clone, albeit a really competent one (most aren't), with its own innovation in the celestial brush. For me, though, the gorgeous visuals were almost enough on their own to keep me playing. I wanted to reach the next area or get the next brush power just to see what it'd look like.
Does that make me shallow? Probably, but I don't care
