    Em Enchant arm

I thought i would post a first play thread as it seem the enchant arm thread on genral gameing is heading down the swanny.

Having just recevied the asian version from play asia i thought i would post my thoughts. Now bare in mind this is my first jrpg, and itsone of the first games with turn based combat i have bought myself.

The thought of turn based gameplay put me off a tad but im glad i didnt just give up without playing it. As inside this game is pretty good, it has a interesting storyline and the Characters really are one of the main things that are great about this game. The camp character is pretty funny and comes up with some choice lines. You also meet a whole string of well voiced well designed characters on your way through enchant arm.

The gfx are a little bit of a mixed bag, they go from wow omg that looks amazing to xbox 1 level. I have found the outer levels so far to be the better, some of the indoor sections have been hit with the rare shiny stick. On the whole the gfx are good and stand up well to most other 360 titles. The control is easy to get a hold of ive never once felt overwhelmed like i thought i might.

Who ever did the subs did a great job and this is the perfect combo, orginal jp voice overs with english subs. I hate when we get jp games over here with full english voice as for the most part they screw it up or have very poor voice talent on the game.

As a whole this game is good, and i would recommend it to anyone who likes or is interested in a the first next gen jrpg. Infact its a good first ever jrpg for those who are looking to try a jrpg for the first time. I didnt think i would like it as much as i do, i had my doubts that a gamer like me which for the most part is a action shooter type gamer would get into it. But im glad i bought it and can see myself getting more into rpg in the future.

    enchant arm

This is also my real first attempt at a turn based rpg as i have always been put off in the past. I to have stuck at it and i am about 50% through and really enjoying it.Some of the veiws are really awsome around the london city part and the desert sky looks almost real, the characters to are pretty decent. My only gripe is the constant battle interuptions when you want to get somewhere, there seems to be just to many and there dont seem to be any real sidequests to speak of.
    Overall well worth the effort

It's not region free, says on Play-Asia.

Trawling through this and still very much enjoying it. Just found my way to Kyoto City...

It doesn't deviate from the archetype J-RPG blue-print that's come before it, but IMO, what it does it does it very well. I find the camaraderie between Raiga, Atsuma, Yuki and Karin to be quite endearing and humourous in places. Acquiring Golems seems to be a bit of a passion of mine in this so far. I. Just. Can't. Leave. Them. Alone.

Despite the moody demenour, Raiga is a bit of a playa'

What levels you got your characters mate?

I've got Atsuma upto Level 26, need to see if there's a quick way of getting him levelled up.

I cant remeber mate, i know i have most of my partys health into the 900s and the ep close to it. The health bar being high becomes very much needed later on dont it lol. If it werent for the health bar being high and some items i doubt i wouldve gotten past a few of the bosses so far. Some are pretty tough for a turn based jrpg virgin like me.

Atsuma is in the high 900's, Raiga, Gaillea and Glave are in the 1000's.

Have you obtained the High Cure Dance and High Cure Return with Karin yet? She's good to have in the party for the bosses and just have her healing the party or failing that, stock up on God Twin Red's.

                              Aye, same with my one.

I keep her at the back of the grid most of the time and use her accordingly, but Golems are extremely useful for the majority of battles. I tend to lean towards Gaillea and Glave as the main ones for me though.
