You do have the option of saving your stats when you die, but the kicker as Spatial says is you must start the game from the beginning again.
It does seem to be pretty unforgiving; and here's another example... if you accidentally hit an NPC he will smack you right back and knock of 1/4 of your health!

My new favourite weapon - the chainsaw!
And this game is tough. I'm getting my backside kicked.Last edited by John Beaulieu; 11-08-2006, 23:06.

I ran out of time on one of the cases just now and it popped up with the case screen and failed me on absolutely everything saying 'the truth has faded into darkness'. Pretty much game over at that point, I could either load a save game or just run around the mall with no real purpose.
Still on the plus side I have been mowing zombies to death with a lawn mower and cutting them in two with garden shears.

It's a disspointment.
The save system isn't so bad. I did stumble across a save place on the map, I headed there but the door was locked and I needed a key.
Other niggles are the unfair bosses. The game can be very frustrating. The hub, the outdoors part where you can access different areas of the mall is a shambles. Whoever thought to stick 3 convicts and a hummer there are dumb. I tried so many times to save some guy's and I had to go through the hub. God what ****. I've switched off this game because of this.
Nice touches in the game though. Almost refeshing to play at times. 7/10. Not upto Capcom's recent standards.

The hummer in the park area is a bit of a pain but it's easily avoided. I'm really getting into this now. Onto the final part of day 2 and the story is starting to develop.
I was just fighting some big guy with a huge knife in a room absolutely awash with blood. Great stuff but not even a lawn mower was enough for me to beat him!

Blimey the boss battles really are tough.
I just got chopped up by some crazy shop keeper with a trolly armed with knives. So back I go to my last save point on the other side of the mall...
Two other complaints:
- The music goes from good (the typical atmospheric Capcom stuff in cut scenes), to average (the mall stuff) to agnosingly ear splittingly TERRIBLE. (some sort of absolutely dire rapp music in boss battles)
- The care taker of the mall keeps calling Frank on his communicator. Sounds fine except you *must* answer the call or he just keeps on ringing it forever, then when you do answer Frank is unable to use a weapon. Should you get munched on by a zombie during these painfully slow conversations (which can't be skipped) the call is cut off, causing the care taker to call again a few seconds later so the conversation can start again from the beginning. These calls are, to say the least, VERY frequent. And so also rather annoying.Last edited by John Beaulieu; 11-08-2006, 23:05.
