God this game is tough trying to get all the survivors plus the scopps plus the cases is tough

lvl 50 with triple booked mini chainsaws is a blessing, so far im on case 6 with 41 survivors hoping i can get the 50 saves achievement.

Then i need to find a day of lazing about to get the survivor achievements

That never really bothered me too much, it felt natural, are the RE games that way too? .... I forget.

I can see them changing a few things like this though if this was to become a series (I see no reason why it wouldn't).

I recently got RE1 on the DS and remembered how clunky the movement was compared to RE4.

Same here, guys. I don't know what to do to play correctly.

I know when I started play last week it downloaded an update for the game but apparently it's a common fault with Dead Rising.

                http://forums.xbox.com/6210937/ShowPost.aspx

I've just had it happen to me once, Beat a boss (so to speak) and then got the Dirty Disc Error....although I heard the 360's drive attempt to read before it did.

There seems to be a lot of rumors etc but apparently cleaning the disc hard with a wet cloth seems to work. (even though the disc is spotless). Probably some Manufacturing fault i guess.

                Wierd huh?

Anyway I redid the scene which gave me the dirty disc error and it worked fine without cleaning the disc. Hmm.

Good to hear i'm not the only one having problems, was getting worried about my 360 dieing on me just as Gears of War gets released.

From your link Jeimuzu i recon its a problem with Dead Rising and the way its been wrote/programmed (what ever you want to call it) someone mentioned something about Dead Rising being one of the first to utilise all the cores. Now that might be bollocks but i've had no problems with my 360 or any other games except DR so fingers crossed microsoft sort us out with an update pretty soon. (again its hinted at from the link)

Personally I think it's something to do with the production of some of the discs, (ie the safetly laquer layer or something they apply (if that makes any sense!))

My disc was immaculate and all I did was wipe down the disc with a damp cloth, let it dry, then wipe with a clean cloth. Left no surface scratches whatsoever and then I finished the entire game without a hickup.

Either that or it's just really poor programming which causes the drive to read a wrong area or something.

I was getting random lock ups which eventually killed my 360. It's been dandy since I got a replacement.

Its not lockups thats the problem, its Disc Read Errors

I wasn't saying it was...just pointing out that game has caused more problems than any other 360 game.

I get it alot on DR too... I also get it with RE:make REzero and a bit on RE4 for the GC. I blame Capcom.
