I can highly recommend the PCSX2 emulator if you have a PC. I bought the disk (from a forum member as it happens), ripped the iso and it plays perfectly. High res and constant 60 fps.

Had a go on this last night courtesy of the PS3 sale (thanks, Chops! Am I no longer a pleb?)
It's so funny how fast it throws you in at the deep end. It doesn't tell you what the buttons do or anything and you have to beat a couple of punks up!
I still don't know what I'm doing, but I started getting the hang of it. The first demon kicked my arse, but next time I knew to activate God Hand mode and he got the beating back.
Can anybody explain the pause screen combat set up? Does it chain the attacks? It's not very clear, to be honest.
The game itself is great, once you suss out how to dodge and turn 180!

You can assign any of your techniques to Square, Triangle and X. They also have press back and the button variations.
Triangle and X buttons are kind of one shot, they don't specifically combo into anything else. The Square attacks are where you customise your combo and you will unlock more slots as the game goes on.
Each attack does a certain amount of damage, takes a certain amount of time and some launch the enemy (shoots them away from you) or juggle them (bounce them into the air). You want to create a chain of attacks on Square that allows you to get in as many hits as possible. My current setup on Square has six or eight attacks (can't remember) and leads with a couple of hits, a guard break, a few more hits and ends with a launch. Could do with another guard break towards the end though.
Guard breaking is essential and you either want it on a dedicated button or wrapped up in your Square combo.
It's the main thing that's great about the game, you completely customise your attacks as you experiment with the system.
And yes, you are no longer a pleb!
