    Xploder PS2 HDTV Player

Just got this in the morning and been trying it out with a few games. First up, it is very easy to set up, put your disc in, choose your HD mode, insert the game and off you go. You have 480p (60Hz), 576p (50Hz), 720p and 1080i (both 60Hz), but there are side "issues" with both. 480p rather overlaps the screen, so some of the top and bottom of the image are cut off and the other HD modes make the image rather small especially 1080i, but if your HD set can increase picture size via the screen size or aspect ratio options then that should sort this out. I am using 720p and tried out a few games, Metal Gear Solid 3 looked very nice indeed. Sad to report that ICO and Scarface are not compatible with this at the moment though, but Kingdom Hearts II is. The manual said a full list is available on the website but I checked and there is nothing there as of yet. I will try out more games when I get back home from Uni today and hopefully some of you guys will post the games you try out. Almost forgot, if you have use HD Loader this is not comptible with that

    Games tried so far

    MGS 3 (working)
    God of War (working)
    ICO (not working)
    Tekken 5 (working)
    Scarface (not working)
    Kingdom Hearts II (working)

Are you using a chipped machine with this at all ? Also , do you have Okami to try with it ?

Some photos would be nice to see if possible also.

Does it look better than a Xbox1 game upscaled on a 360 ?

Where did you get it from, thought it was pushed back?

n/m "usually dispatched within a week from gameplay"

I wonder what games will work that are in development now?

i have tried it with my modded matrix infinity. it doesn't work on imported games, infact you have to turn the chip into stealth in order to launch pal games. truth be told, think the thing is aload of crap wank, the games i did try were street fighter alpha anthology(which didn't look any different from its 480p) and resident evil 4, resident evil 4 looks no different except the picture has been made into 4:3 in 720p. I haven#t tried any others yet, but the thing is a load of bollocks. I will change my mind if the vga cable shows impressive results when it arrives. until then, through component its aload of tosh.

there isn't an option for it or any mention of it in the instructions. might be for the us version.

The PAL version does support 480p but it's not an option in the menu. You can enable it by holding down 2 buttons on the joypad (X & triangle iirc) whilst the game boots up.
