Like importaku said this is one game worth breaking tradition for.

I'm taking this a bit slow since I've got tonnes of stuff to be playing and only just got past the second boss. Talk about brilliant - I was just expecting more of the same as the first boss fight and then it caught me unawares with the brilliant

Fighter setup, complete with power bar and brilliant face close up for Tingle

I can't wait to see what the others are like.

I really wanted to love this game, yet it clearly hates me.

I'm so sick of cutting in to my scant supply of rupees only to get bugger all back. There's very little sense of satisfaction or reward in this game. Bartering only gets worse as the game goes on, and there's me thinking it'd get easier. Tingle never gains any new abilities, no new weapons to fight with too, instead you must continuously stumble into fisticuffs and hope you have enough moolah to survive. The bodyguards might as well all be the same, the environments are samey and unsatisfying to explore, and the save system is knackered.

Tingle is also begining to get on my tits.

      Nice boxart though.

Yeah, I'm pretty much at the same stage. The last dungeon I completed was horrific and, aside from that, all I end up seeming to do is endless ingredient hunts. It's like poxy Monster Hunter all over again.

I do like the character and I think some of the ideas are great. It's so close to being a good game but, for me, it's just not there.

Must admit you have to prepare yourself well at the beginning or you will suffer badly as you get to the later dungeons.

The insect one is particularly hard if your not stocked up on rupees, i mainly concentrate on getting the main items i need & ignore the useless information as it just wastes your rupee stash.

A way of minimizing rupee loss if you going to buy something is to save before you do, yeah its cheating a bit, but it's a lot easier than losing 1000 rupees when you only needed to spend 200. Obviously it dosent work if your at certain bits as you cant get back & save.

It's an accquired taste of a game & not for everyone as the bartering system is sometimes really unfair, but tingles fruity charm outweighs all the downpoints for me.

Only one island away now from the end, currently on Desuma mountain & still loving it. Need to recruit a stronger bodyguard as im getting my proverbial ass kicked in every fight.

I also came across this which might help people out if they get stuck, it gives the amounts needed for items & other stuff.

I'm on that mountain too and I think I may be at the point of leaving it. I think I could do without a

              whole village of haggling.

The bodyguards cost a fortune there too.

Actually my bodyguard drove me bleedin nuts in the

pirate captain battle. He kept pushing the crates in the opposite direction.

Well I finished this. Sort of. Got what was clearly a 'bad' ending.

Playing this reminded me of reading Stephen King's The Tommyknockers. I knew pretty much the whole way that it was turning out a bit rubbish and yet I just kept on going. And, sure enough, with both I wondered why I did when I hit the end.

Tingle has a lot of charm and character and there are definitely some good ideas here but too much of the game is tedious.

Lol the last boss is brilliant i laughed so hard.

Total bullet pattern shooter Died on the last bit as i didn't realise the bugger had a 3rd form.

Oh & to get the good ending you need all of the rupee goods

Pretty much loved it from start to finish, its one of nintendo's most weirdest game ever.
