Plays nearly exactly the same as X-Men Legends only real difference i can see is that health potions have been replaced with orbs that you collect to refill your health automatically.

Must say the 360 version looks pretty nice overall, explosions and effects all over the place and its nice and smooth. Some of the special power effects are just fantastic looking as well, like the human torches flame thrower.
Just what I was hoping for, mine should arrive tomorrow, can't wait to play some co-op with my mate. I used to be a big comic fan and I loved Xmen Legends so this is right up my alley.

When playing online can you have two players on one 360 and join a live game?

Been playing this a bit the past couple of days and, while it's basically the same thing over and over again, it's mindless fun. I've got a couple of questions though:

1: Has anyone managed to play a game online? I spent half an hour last night connecting to people, then being told i'd lost connection. I actually got a game to start, but then my character seemed to move 5 seconds after i'd pressed the relevant button. Then it crashed. My connection seemed fine, ports were open and the 360 was the pnly device using the internet, so I assumed it wasn't me.

2: Then I got stuck in single player mode, where the boss you fight hides behind some forcefields. You have to blow up two iron-man thingys, allowing you to teleport into the room the bad guy is hiding. Slap him around a bit, then he teleports to another room and you repeat the same process again. I got stuck here - depsite killing the iron-men, it wouldn't let me stay in the room I'd teleported to. Apparently you have to blow up the iron-men, presumably using the creepy crawlies that come into the room as well. Is this a bug, or user incompetance?

NB: Apologies for the lack of comic book names used....

I tried getting into an online game the other day and it was awful, real bad lag and players dropping connection, I gave up after awhile.

However a mate of mine rented it yesterday and we did 2 player online and it was fine.

This is the biggest problem with Live at the moment, unless you arrange games with those on your friend list from the same country your likely to get lag issues, had it with Doom, SFII, DoA lately.

I think this is what you need to do:

You'll notice some small "critters" that follow you around, once you've destroyed the robots on the teleporters, get one of the critters to chase you , but get them to actually walk over the teleporter. This will then send the critter in to the control room instead of you, and blow up the robot waiting for you. You can then teleport in yourself and beat up the nasty man!

            HTH.

Blimey, how hard was it to get this game?

I didn`t know it was out and I`ve been looking for a new game to play in the week or so leading upto Gears of War so after reading posts from you guys I thought I`d have a look.

I went to GameStation who had sold out, as had 2 more neighbouring GameStations, Tesco, ASDA, two Woolworths` and HMV. In the end I got one of the final copies at GAME.

It was a last resort shopping there and I feel dirty!

Not had a go of it yet, looking forward to it, I love Spider-Man, he`s my fave!

I also had trouble finding this, managed to get it in virgin with my NUS. Loving the game so far, excellent characters and some impressive graphical touches from time to time. Live also worked very well whislt playing with friends, I like the idea of using your friends savegame too, very handy to go back and finish your game at a later date over live!

Does anyone know if the Xbox 1 version has co-op live play? (Don't intend on getting a 360, for some time and my PS/2 won't support a network adapter; early jap model).

I wouldn't normally pick this kind of thing up (especially as my old boss had a hand in it's creation!) but the idea of online live play makes it appealing. Are there still people playing on live with the original xbrick?

I played the first mission yesterday and had to go out. I was left thinking that I wasn`t too sure about the game and it maybe going back for a trade sooner rather than later, but I`ve been playing through the second mission this morning and it`s really starting to grow on me.

Eventhough I love Marvel Superhero`s I`ve never played game involving them until this one and I`m liking it.

Played some more of this yesterday and it`s starting to get repetative now to the point where it`s boring me to death.

Considering how difficult it was to get my hands on this game I thought this thread would be alot busier due to how many shops have sold out, but maybe there was only 10 copies for sale.

"Roll on Gears of War", that`s what I say!

My bad, yeah I have the 360 version.

It will be proptly traded for CoD3 cos MUA is bobbins I`m affraid.

Unless you can feel yourself getting wood over early copies of Spider-Man comics I wouldn`t really recommend this game to anyone else, *comment removed*.

That's a bit ****ing out of order. I have a good friend who's handicapped and I find your comment highly offensive. Perhaps you'd like to take a dig at religion and race while you're at it as well?

Then I retract my statement and make a full and public apology to anyone that may have made have found my comments offensive.

I bet you still laugh at Gervais in the Office when he wheels the disabled girl about in the wheelchair, though.

                              Regardless, please accept my apologies.

I'm actually finding this game quit enjoyable. The game is really meant to be played multiplayer and 4 player over LIVE is a real hoot.

Quick question for people who are fimilar with the game. How are your leveling up stats, money etc saved? Just within the campaign you are playing or linked to your whole profile

Basically I want to know that if I start a new LIVE game wil I retain any leveling up I have done playing other LIVE games?
