I'm finding that as well. Took me a while to get into it but by section 3 it just seemed to have gelled with me.

Got to section 4 with no health pacs or armour and only 40 health.

Got off the helicopter, out in the open, bad guys seemingly on all sides.

    Talk about tense!

    Really liking the

    invisible ninja guys

even if they are right bastards!

I went in with 25 health. Usually I'm a sucker for going all-out in battle, but this was seemingly impossible until I worked out a way to hide and pick each one off very very slowly.

Just finished Level 5 which had me running round for ages wondering what I needed to do, until I realised I'd missed a key door in an office. I've played it all day, so I'll be taking a break tonight for a few beers and some Pro Evo 6 at a mates

playing through this a the mo. I loved the demo but im just not blown away by the full game. The graphics arent that great, the gameplay is ok. The slow mo is good but its just a basic blaster at the end of the day. Good in small doses. Its not even that jumpy. I was made to believe it was jumpier than condemned - its not even close.

The horror bits are very infrequent. One bit in particular really did make me jump but so far it was an isolated incident.

Initially I thought the pacing and tactics involved in this game were a little slow.

But the story really sucked me in and I soon lost about 5 hours to it in one sitting. Finished it off with a bout of multiplayer. Fantastic stuff. Fast paced team action ahoy, seems pretty balanced.

I can mirror what others have said about it being a little rough around the edges but I think some of the effects, especially the slow mo stuff look great. After all the negative comments I have to say I am loving it! (I never played the PC version though).

And the Resident evil bit? I ****a my panta.

I?m loving this, my PC would die of heart attack trying to run this game so the 360 option was the only way to go. The atmosphere and 5.1 sound is just superb and adds some much to the game and overall experience , better than that though ,are the firefights which are some of the memorable since Halo or Half-Life , the AI is just top notch. Its like Half Life meets Slient Hill and its great

Only letdowns are the 30 fps and the mess that is the lobby system , with luck the Lobby system will be patched soon

The bass in this game makes my sub sound like it's about to explode and my living room doors rattle!

Just had a couple of hours on Multiplayer and it's quite good actually. I was a little unsure as to how the slow-mo deathmatch would work but I like it and it's nice and quick with no lag on the matches I played.

Haven't quite got the hang of the lobby yet, I was waiting on the round over screen for ages and the only options I had were to quit or look at gamertags of the other players. Unless the host was just slow on setting up the new round ?

Thats the main crux of multiplayer mate, they've mentioned it in practically every review.

Great multiplayer game, no post-game lobby!

Once you finish it kicks you back to the menu and you have to search for another game. Its a really stupid mistake on the developers part but clearly one which has a pretty obvious remedy through a patch.

I have ordered FEAR myself but I havent heard whether the developers are officially looking to patch it.

I'm still finding this more enjoyable the more I play it. Slo-mo shotgun up close and personal is bloody (and I use the word advisedly) superb!

I unlocked one of the secret achievments last night:

Suicide King - blow yourself up five times

                      . Go me!

Getting a decent set of headphones delivered tomorrow so looking forward to playing it with those.

Still yet to try multiplayer. Lobby sounds a bit skanky but hopefully we can get a few NTSCers together soon.

What earphones are you getting mate as I'm after a new pair as my current ones are rubbish ?

Just found out that this was converted by the guys who did the MechAssault games on the xbox ( Day 1 Studios ) and by all accounts they have done a good job.

Sennheiser HD 555. RRP is around ?100.00. Cheapest I found them for in the UK is about ?65.00 from Hughes Direct (via Amazon).

Friend of mine has them and rates them highly. Says he can fit the 360 headset on at the same time.

Just finished the single player. What a game. I had the same chills down the spine I got when playing Condemmed towards the end of this one. Overall it wasn't as scary but the combat was immense fun.

I love games like this, the horror experience translates really well into FPS when it is handled in the right way.

                            Awesome.

I agree, just finished it and loved it. Way better than Prey and I was suprised how much I enjoyed playing it.

Rented it from Blockbuster (skint), so excellent value for ?6 rental! I will buy and play again with crimbo pressy money.

Not sure how far I am into this but I've been enjoying it so far. My only complaint (coming from my level editing experience) is the level design can be very basic at times and has no feeling of a functional environment. It'd be a nightware to work in a office like some of the ones in the game
