I'm amazed you bother coming back to this thread to repeat the same stuff almost two months later.

Mate, ya missing the point... It really doesn't get going till you play you play hard and rock hard levels. Easy and normal is just too easy.

This arrvied from Play Asia with Yoshi DS today. Only done a handful of missions on Normal but first impressions are fantastic. Depending on how much I enjoy the rest of the game, may pick up Ouendan.

I just couldn't stand the music or the art style. Just plain nasty. Had I not played and loved Ouendan so much I might have been more forgiving.

I thought the music perfectly suited the game, and i thought the art was better than Ouendan TBH, and i got both just recently.

I've played EBA FAR more, just unlocked Survivor today on Hard rock mode and completed it, that was fun! Now i'm all out of songs though EBA 2 anyone.....?

Recieved this the other day and when i began playing it it was a little on the average side compared to Ouendan, but as soon as i reached the harder levels, cheerleading squad especially, it really became alot better to play.

The songlist wasn't very compelling when i read it, but they really do seem to work well in EBA, songs i can't stand on their own sound fairly decent to me in their touched up EBA state.

A very good game which i feel is a worthy sidekick to Ouendan. Roll on Ouendan 2!

Which version would you guys recommend more?

                EBA or Ouendan?

I'd say Ouendan (if you can get round the japanese text - not that hard) great game

                    Definitely Ouendan mate.
                    Tunes are much catchier.
                    Bring on a sequel, quick!

There's something you need to know about EBA - it has a Cher song in it.

If you can read that and not lose your lunch, I'd recommend going for EBA. Why? I don't know. It's more colourful. And the ability to skip intros is worth a hell of a lot.

You won't be as cool as the Ouendan people though so you'd have to balance it by posting how much you hate english dubs or something. Shenmue 2 is a popular one because of the added hilarity of a whole rake of Chinese people speaking Japanese.

                      It's all about the balance.

I must have played Ouendan for over 100 hours by now. It has great art, superb music, and it plays brilliantly. It's funny too. Best game on the DS.

Elite Beat Agents I got bored with in well under 10 hours. The art is dreadful, and with a few exceptions the soundtrack is painfully bad. Crucially it also doesn't play that well, as the beats are often out of time with the music. It's not completely without it's merits, but it's a very pale imitation of the game that spawned it.

Oh no I completely agree (for instance English guys supporting Japan in the world cup if its Japanese its better... ) , however, I genuinely do think Ouendan is a bit better looking - but if you don't like jpn text then go for it

Ouendan simply becuase the songs dont make me wanna puke, skater boy what on earth were they thinking. I mean overall EBA is good still but the songs just dont do it for me, and really the whole point of these games is the music.

I'd say Elite beat agents personally, i really love the game, but it's pretty much the same as Ouendan. I can't see how people can like ouendan but not this, in japan the same songs people on this forum think are "great" are probably trashy pop songs like most of the ones in EBA.

In the end it's just a fun experience that doesn't have to be looked into too deeply. Oh and i totally disagree about the art thing, EBA is so much better...

This has really grown on me.

At first I found the beats a little off and didn't like a few of the songs. On further play it just kinda clicked and now I find it much easier and the beats seem better. Also a lot of the songs have grown on me, cheesy, but a lot of them are fun. I'd still give a slight edge in music and art to Ouendan, but I'm finding the gameplay better in EBA simply because I found Ouendan too hard and you can skip intros in EBA.
