Make sure you have a big pond, that sometimes helps...can't remember how to get newgtats mind you! Quackberry's require a loaf of bread and some corn to come along.

A lot of the pinata's are based on what level you're at though.

Hmm, I've not played this game in two days, I'm worried! The aimlessness of it may have gotten to me...I rinsed SO much play time and SO many achievements from it within 3/4 days that I think I've overdosed on it!!

Sweet Lord baby jesus make it stop!

This game is far more addictive than even i expected, brought it for the Mrs as she loves these sorts of things (she was pixie on animal crossing for those on here who played that)

Normally she is the one moaning at me for going to bed at stupid o clock when playing, but this time she has not been to bed earlier than 2am every night.

Had a go and then inexplicably became horribly addicted to making sure everything in my garden was running smoothly.

It's a very very good game IF (and this is a big if) you like the sims\animal crossing\pokemon.

But i urge you to try it out but beware it's the most addictive thing i've played in a very long time indeed.

Rare in very good game shocker, after PD0 who would have thought it? Though in fairness rare seem to always take traditional genres and add their sense of humour\slant to it (banjo,PD0 etc) this time though it worked a treat.

just how many really good games has the 360 at the moment??

              Ok quick question

I absolutley hated AC for the sheer fact there wasn't anything to do on it. The tasks got too repetitive

Not a huge fan of The Sims either

But I need a change of pace from constantly shooting big alien bastards

Wouldn I enjoy this? I also enjoyed Rare games back in the N64 era and tha's what is pulling me towards this.

I love the idea of the game but is there enough stuff to keep you entertained for a more than an an hour at a time

not so sure it's your type of game

the tasks are repetitive BUT there are a few to do at a time and the thing you have is Choice.

THis is a sandbox a playground or whatever trendy buzzword you want you can do and try so many different things.

for the above poster i would try a rental first to see if it grabs you.

I play it for between and hour and THREE at a time but from what you've said I don't think you'd like it SiLenT_8...

Do you build things for your pinata's? Say like a house for it

Does is resemble in anyway a game like Theme Park world, where you constantly maintaining your garden while adding more pleasures for the enviroment to bring in new animals?

Haven't played a game like that in ages and would be such a welcome change of pace

It is certainly an odd one, it is kind of like you described and kind of like animal crossing. I've found it alot more tolerable than AC though as there is actually a goal to acheive.

Digging up fossils and fishing didn't appeal to me playing on a console. It may have worked better on a handheld but to me there was no interesting tasks. Posting letters to fake people...i just don't get it

I like the continous play idea but i want there to be some meaning to it

If someone says its like "Theme Park world with animals instead of rides" I'll be convinced

I'd say it was like that, but the lack of automation makes it quite vastly different also.

Where in Theme park you can set everything up so it works all by itself, in Viva Pinata it requires alot of manual input.

When you say manual input, what example would you give for that?

I'm this close EvilB, keep it up!

For instance, if you were to walk off for 30 minutes you may well find your most prized pinata has gotten into a fight , fallen ill and then eaten.
The pinatas have to physically be forced together to breed then you have to play a small minigame.
