its exactly that. Its all the little things that stink of western laziness. For me, the fact that the first one was so completely perfect with the upmost precision to detail makes this new version even more frustrating. There are certain things that you see in this game that you would never ever see in an inhouse nintendo product: blind spots (as you mentioned), exactly the same bosses re-used, shoddy and ill-fitting graphics, diabolical music. If you look at that introductory level at the very beggining, it's exactly the same level as the super nintendo one but with reworked (and infinately inferior) background graphics. The fact that the first game was, like all mario games, complete gaming perfection means this would have to do the same again. Unfortunately it falls flat on its face in every single area. Every single part of this game is worse than the original which makes it completely worthless as a product. I know nintendo don't have the internal resources to develope a title like yoshi's island 2 themselves but jesus ****ing christ, they could have atleast given the job to a studio with a better track record. a studio with at least 1 decent game on it's CV. They let capcom produce the last 3 gameboy zelda titles and they all turned out well. There are so many companies that I respect but artoon is not one of them. I actually don't understand nintendo's thoughts in regards to this completely idiotic decision.
Basically, I'm completey and totally ****ed off that I spent money on this game. They should have at the very least put some kind of warning on the box. 'NOT AN OFFICIAL NINTENDO PRODUCT' or something along those lines. Like the warnings you get on cigarette packets.
