yes, the face mapping is nice (although i look like a dumb ass and not even half as cute as in reality) but it's definitely bugged, since this simply can't be the way it's been intended to work. hope they will adress this with the next patch. sound-bug still needs fixing too!

also, i wonder whether i will ever make it up to the rank of "Elite" since levelling up takes more and more effort and time...

Only the host can see the mapped faces apparently, it is certainly something that ain't right.

I was hosting, but didn't realise it took so long for it to load the face after the game had started.

If it's only the host that can see them, then it's a bit of a pointless feature really.

I've been in rooms (actually it was only the once) with my mate and neither of us was the host, it went about 5 rounds and then our faces suddenly loaded for each other so it shouldn't just be the host.

I just heard the host loads them faster.

Wow, did the looping gunfire noise get worse? They really should of fixed this, it happens nearly every game. You know it doesnn't happen to just yourself too, as you hear other player saying "what the hell is that noise?".

So, has anyone actually managed to create a likeness of themselves that DOESN'T somehow manage to completely disgard half of your head?

Whenever I manage to get around the stupid errors, the game really doesn't do me justice. I CANNOT believe that it works so flawlessly in developer screenshots and promotional material - oh wait a second yes I can, Ubi soft are pathetic losers who aim to decieve you almost as much as Sony.

Also, does anyone know why when I'm staring right at the camera, my pictures ALWAYS come out with me looking to the left?

Mine eventually comes out quite well. But a lot of my hair volume is missing

Mine worked perfectly first time - it was quite uncanny seeing my face on the screen. You need to make sure that the lighting is nice and even in the room so that there is no shadow across your head ( see post #11 in this thread for the results ).

It's only happened on the 1st and 2nd missions so far.
So to complete the game on Realistic do you have to use Scene Selection?

Just a little update on that...

Well, i finished off the Calypso casino on normal (before it was on realistic) and just went to chapter selection and chose stage 3 on realistic to carry it on. Luckily enough the difficulty didnt spaz out, and i completed all the remaining stages (bar Calypso) but the achievement didn't unlock, naturally.

So, i started another game on Realistic, but started from the very beginning.
Eventually i finished Calypso, and was greeted with the Achievement unlock, thank goodness. I wasn't looking forward to Dantes again on realistic.

Though on that run, it definitely saved mid chapter - i switched off the system and restarted again, thinking it's going to put me back to normal again. Thankfully, it didn't.
It seems pretty random whether it happens or not.

how do you know if the game has reverted to normal from realistic though ?

If your crosshair goes red when you target an enemy it's reverted to Normal.

I completed this earlier on normal, despite a few frustratingly tough bits it was thoroughily enjoyable. But as good as the single player is its not half as good as playing terrorist hunt online with 4 other people. I must have spent a good 4 hours solid playing that yesterday. On realistic the AI is bloody incredible, those terrorist bastards are damn smart, they were flanking our asses left, right and centre.

Yet more problems since the patch: Three freezes in split-screen story co-op; two in a row as soon as the helicopter ride had started on The Strip and one at the start of Casino Floor before getting to the escalators.

Single player mode is really starting to piss me off now - I'm in the mine level and I've just had the vast majority of my weapons nicked, not to mention my team has been dragged off somewhere leaving me to fend off god knows how many armor clad, 1 shot killing terrorists there are. I can kill the first 2 guys easy enough as 1 has his back to me prime for a headshot, and the other I can catch off guard allowing me to relieve him of his shotgun - my problems begin as I get just slightly further on and there's two guards staring right in my direction - can't kill them both without dying myself.

I REALLY am desperate for help with this section as I just can't seem to make any progress, I relied on my meatshields I really did
