What's the multiplayer like? The GC version is still the best party game out there - 4 player turtle balancing was pure genius.

Well theres no simultaneous 4 player modes this time (or so ive found) they are all pass the remote kind of games.

Dont worry though as they are a lot of fun, my fave is pass the bomb.

You basically have to select a minigame & then a player & pass the remote if they fail the remote goes off & they are out of the game, if they pass they then select who they are going to shove the bomb to & it continues.

Just discovered that theres 1 minigame that unless you know japanese your going to get stuck.

Its one of the unlockable minigames outside of the main game so its not too important but heres how to play.

The minigame is called Usagi to Kame (Rabbit & turtle)

Its a flag minigame where you have to follow directions by holding the red & white flags either up or down. You use the nunchuk to play this minigame.

          The 2 colours are....

          Shiro しろ White
          Aka あか Red

luckily the colour of the words matches the colours of the flags so just go by the actual colour of the word if you cant be bothered reading.

Now the hard bit, you will have to read & quickly put your flags in the positions. So if it says, しろあげて Shiro agete it means white flag up

Heres a list of all the commands

          Sagete さげて means down
          Agete あげて means up
Sagenai さげない means dont move down
Agenai あげない means dont move up

& thats all there is to it

Let mini moni teach you the basics q(^_^)p

            I NEED this now.

Seeing as this comes out in Europe first, and I have a PAL Wii coming soon, I'm gonna just give in and keep the PAL Wii for a bit (at least until I've had my 'bum train dance' fix).

Indeed, i defy anyone not to laugh when they play it.

btw if anyone gets stuck on a particular minigame just let us know & ill tell you what you should be doing.

Theres 1 minigame that needs the strap to be worn, Its called bungee jump & you have a hand holding the remote but its been turned into a person & you have to drop the remote & let it swing from the strap (^_^)

some of the minigames are ingenious in the ways they come up with to use the remote.

Indeed some of those comments are ace. Not going to sit there while some saddo ps3 fanboy disses the bum train (^_^)

Is there really that little to play on ps3 that they have all that spare time to trawl youtube looking for wii game videos to slate

I guess you could just make the controller movements without actually doing the dance, but then again I guess it wouldn't be anywhere near as amusing that way!

To an extent you can, but you have to keep the controller moving as the game will fail you if senses that the controller is still.

If your not in the mood for the full on bum train you can just swing the remote while sitting down as long as you do rougly the same movements. I discovered that while playing yesterday (^_^)

Yeah, I figured you probably could, but its a bit like hitting the side of the bongos in Donkey Konga instead of actually clapping, it works, but its not really as fun as doing it the 'proper' way.

Totally agree with you. Not playing this the way the devs intended would be like kissing your sister.

I'm not very far in but so far I'm enjoying this immensely. So much imagination & thought seems to have gone into the mini games and the variety of control methods employed is pretty impressive. I'm particularly enjoying prancing round the room with the Wiimote (trunk?) held to my nose whilst playing the elephant mini-game....genius

I never really got on with Wario on the Cube as it felt like a GBA port. This seems much more like a polished 'proper' home console version. The non-cartoony cut-scenes are top notch too (enjoying learning how to pronounce the different control types too).

I'm driving my missus mad gushing on about how great the boxart is asking her repeatedly asking 'did I mention the lovely textured paper they've used for the insert?'....I really need to get out more!

I showed the clip to my parents last night. Mother couldn't stop laughing. I've still yet to persuade them to play anything on the Wii yet but I can well imagine, few glasses of wine, get here dancing to the music
Lie with passion and be forever damned...
