Oh dear god...this game is getting worse. On mission 11 now and its all gone abit

    Zone of Enders

, except the controls are ****ing dire. To fire your laser you need to press X, thus removing your thumb from the stick you need to aim with! So you have to size the shot up first and then fire, but you're screwed if the target is moving!

This game is ace and a hot to play , sure it has some issues with controls and the bosses are a pain sometimes, but with the exception of Mario IV, Ghost N Ghouls or, Mario 64 (which more or less design perfection) I don’t think there’s been a platform/action game with out some sort of issue with it. The flaws are out weighted but the sheer delight of what I’m seeeing , hearing and playing .

The best thing about this game is borrows from some of my fav games and films. I mean there’s elements from the films like Thing and Starship Troopers (one of my all time fav) Godzilla (not the sh8t USA version) Dune , and then from some of my fav games like Gun Valkyrie, Halo, Mech Assault II, Orta (in tersm of art) ect in here. All in one sensory overload of a game , with bags of action and some roof shaking sound (my Sub Woofer is working over time here ) I bloody love it , half the time I just can't believe what I'm seeing on screen.

Also the game features the best explosions I've ever seen

Those who have struggled with previous bosses are going to absolutely love the mission 11 boss Even when it has zero energy it still doesn't die! Top stuff!

As long as it not like the Last Boss In Prime or Perfect Dark (next to impossible) I'll manage , I hope

Picked up the standard yank version yesterday and playing on normal. Just defeated Greeneye.

It's a great looking game and I'm having fun with it. Some great set pieces, like where you climb the inside of a mountain to emerge at it's peak to this wonderful sky. Atmosphere in spades.

The bosses are huge and dwarf you by their scale. It's great fighting them too, not had many problems but it feel's like it's been such a long time since I had 'old school' bosses.

Online's alright, lot's of players. I think I like the level up system used. Cool how you unlock costumes for MP though.

Sure this has all been said though!

How much T-Eng did you all have going into the M9 boss? Is 1000 going to be enough?

MonkeyWrench, ? thanks for the tip on the advanced VS. Do you mean shoot out the 'plasma' door up top or is there a garage door down on Arena level to shoot out? (just wondering as you say 'previous room' I've been using the VS nearest to you as you enter the room. ?

Don't know if you're still looking for this but I found it today...

It's next to the building were you fight the mech. There is a large broken tower directly to the right - its right at the top of that. You can't climb up so you have to shoot it from distance, in the end I got it with the rocket launcher.

Yeah that's the same type of mech, but its better to go into the arena already in that mech to save messing around. Its located on a garage on the upper level of the previous room, the room before you enter the corridor that drops you down to the arena.

I think I'm stuffed then as I can't get back out of the boss room from my checkpoint (it won't open).

GAHHH that fourth boss i almost ripped the joypad in half for sheer frustrating

i was in the mech doing quite well my energy was getting low so i decided to position my self near the other mech so when i had to bale i could quickly get into the other my first mech blew so i baled i was only a few meters away from the other then i was bounced around and sent flying and died

                        that was so annoying

Loving this game - Having so much fun both online & off - That worm has to be the biggest thing in a videogame ever - incredible scale.

Top game - What a start to 2007 hope they can keep the quality up

drop down to the ledge below with the EMG and rocket launcher, equip the latter (make sure you keep your chain gun). Then drop down to the ground, destroy the three tanks, collect the energy and jump back up to the ledge again as you've just triggered the entrance of the boss. You are now knee height to the boss, hammer one of its legs with rockets and your chain gun, shouldn't take too much flak before it blows, then repeat on the other leg. It should then fall to the floor revealing its weak spot on the top. Hammer that with both weapons until it grows new legs and then repeat the above process. I'm sure I only did that twice before I killed it. You might have to swap the rocket launcher for the EMG, can't remember if I ran out before it died.

Actually which mech are you using?

You should be using the swanky advanced mech, which can be found in a garage in the previous room by shooting the door off. Once you get that there's two chain guns that you'll need to pickup in the same room.
I might restart Mission 9 from scratch then to ensure I have that mech (and a ****load of ammo) when I enter the boss room

ugh, i'm finding this horribly frustrating... i don't get pissed off with games but this one is pushing my limits. it's the whole 'fall over and take forever to get back up again' thing which is currently doing my nut.

i'm attempting (with wonky backwards controls) to take on the chick in the mech in mission 3 (or is it 2? regardless). i can get in a slow as **** mech and trade blows or i can use my agility as a little slow moving bloke and hammer away with an assortment of weapons. i like running about on foot as it makes me feel like a man. thing is, once you get hit by an attack you're just endlessly being juggled until you die... surely this isn't right?

Doesn't happen to me like that ???? Sure, occasionally I get knocked down and have a hard time getting back in the game but for the most part it's been fine.

Didn't have a problem with that chick either she went down like Monica Lewinsky
