    I know!
You can do this as well

solve the pen puzzel with the flour, found in the kitchen

Btw, depending how you treat a person during in a conversation,
their attitude will change toward Kyle.
So there is some replay value

Yah but is there more than one ending?

Yes. People are still playing the game and trying to figure it out, but seems like there are definantly more than two epilogues.

Oh balls! I got rid of mine supposing there to be only one, this one (massive spoiler obviously)

Hyde exposes Dunning as Osterzone, you learn all about Bradley's wrangling's, Jenny and what have you and you leave with Mila

. If anyone gets another, please, please let me know.

Finished this last night and I'm not overly impressed with it. It started off well and I thought it was going to be quite special but ultimately it has proven to be a quite tedious.

I could handle the hand-holding to begin with but it doesn't stop at all. Interaction is kept quite minimal, and you are practically told what to do all the way through. I more or less spent the last three chapters or so just reading with only a couple of chat options to select. The interface is cumbersome, and there are a couple of bugs where the game refuses to progress if you haven't done things in an exact sequence that shouldn't matter anyway. Oh, and not being able to skip chat really starts to annoy later on when you do happen to question someone incorrectly and find yourself forced to sit through it all over again.

I loved Another Code, but this is a step-backwards for me I'm afraid.

I've got the other ending. Only Highlight if you've completed the game and curious of the alternative ending.

Kyle leaves with Mila,Jenny Returns afterwards

. Got this by getting no game over and no red flags (not completly true, I got one with Summer but you're forced to get one with him anyway.

Confirmed factors which can effect your gaming ending:
              • How many red flags you get.
              • How many game overs you get.
              Unconfirmed factors:
              • Room 220 (only accessible on a repeat)
              • The numbers and vending machine
              • giving characters the gifts you can get
              • how long it takes to complete the game

My word - didn't see that one coming! I got a red with Summer as well (thought it was forced) but got game over several times, once just to listen to the inexplicably jaunty music. Didn't partake in gift giving and that. Cheers El Leone - would never have knew otherwise!

Been spending a fair bit of time with this the past week, good stuff. There's a lot of hand-holding, and some of the puzzles are very unlogical/finnicky to get right, but I'm still very drawn in.

edit: nm, worked out the bit I was stuck on

I'm just about to finish Hotel Dusk. I'm literally about 5 screen touches away from seeing an ending. HOWEVER, I have now postponed watching the ending due to the fact that I just picked up Trace Memory. I'm finding TM to be the better game, although it isn't very challenging. I'm on Chapter 4 already. I prefer the way it's displayed too. Hopefully if there is a third game from Cing, it'll combine the two titles and a truly great game will be born.

Just finished this and I must say I THOUROUGHLY enjoyed every second. I also got the better of the two endings, so I don't feel I've missed out (though I may replay at some point just for Room 220).

I thought the characterisation was superb. In many respects, the cast were quite believable, and (to use the cliche) I really started to care about them. The story also had more maturity to it than a million schlocky gore sims put together.

I've heard a few complaints about random 'Game Over's, but I only ever had my game end twice; in my experience of playing, you'll be alright as long as you don't do something really dumb (the answers in critical conversations are mainly common sense, for instance). As for puzzles, I tohught most were well done, save one incredibly obtuse one involving chalk... >.<

So all in all, a fine game - and one I know I'll 'miss' playing now I've finished it.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I'm playing through this great title for the first time, owned it a couple months and just got round to it.

I'm on chapter 2 : 5:40, I've got really stuck as I've done everything I've needed to and I'm still not able to progress as Louie isn't meeting me when he's supposed to.. I've heard about a few bugs and whatnot in this title, could this be one? I can't work out how to get out of this situation other than restarting. I've checked guides and they say I should be meeting him now, but I'm not... any tips people?

                        thanks

Have you made sure you have done everything in Dunning's office?
