According to the save game clock I've been playing for about 18 hours now. I really ought to go out and enjoy the sun - but f' me its just too good a game to put down.

And following the path to the dark side has become far easier now I'm being rewarded with my dark powers .

I ordered the game from Tronix, and it was sent on Thursday via Global priority...I see you already have it. How long did it take for the package to arrive?

This really is something special. I'm so gladBioware came up with the goods, because I was getting so sick of the likes of Jedi Knight II, Rogue Leader etc. getting really high review scores, but being absolute crap.

This is finally a Star Wars game that holds it's own for more than just the licence. More please Lucas Arts!!

This is a question for those who have played through Taris...

When you came to the Rancor, did you kill it with just brute force, or did you use the bait scent? I found the scent, and I found something that said it was going to be used to lure the Rancor, but for the life of me I couldn't think of how to use it, so I just frag grenaded his ass to death. I got 750 XPs for it, but I want to know if any of you did it differently and got a different amount of XPs for it. Thanks.

Answer to your question:

I put the scent and a frag grenade in the corpses. A cut scene then played of the Rancor eating the grenade and the grenade going off inside him.

Gah!! It's 2:40am... that would mean I'm addicted then...

As for Justins problem...

Oooof... I did this so wrong, but it still worked. I chose Mission and put her into stealth mode, ran under the Rancors hand and went through the door. By the time he realised I was there I was already through and I'd blasted the two guards inside.

Once they were dispatched with, I turned round and started lobbing grenades at the Rancor, who couldn't reach me through the doorway. When I ran out of grenades I then turned off Solo mode and Swe-Ja Copoo and Zaalbar ran through to distract him whilst I shot his legs until he dropped.

Most convoluted way of doing anything ever!

Well, I went back and did it Ish's way, but only got 200 XPs for it, so I reloaded my game and just frag grenaded him again for the 750 XPs. I figure, why lose the XPs, right? Still, for killing the Rancor in a more intelligent fashion (and for following the clues laid out in the game) getting him Ish's way should have netted a higher XP amount. Eh, I've moved on from it and now have Bastilla in my party.

I tell you what, one bad thing about the game being so damn good is that now the wife, who has been watching me play it the last several times, doesn't want me playing it anymore without her. She really likes it, and doesn't want to miss out on any of the story, which normally would be great and all, but it also means that all my plans for late night sessions with the game are kaput!

Dammit! I've been looking so forward to these few days off so that I could play KOTOR all night to my heart's content, and now I can't. Cripes. Why do you have to be so good, BioWare?! Why?!
