Just had a quick 10 minute blast on this....

100% in game english, and fantastic!

Before starting, it creates a HDD save, which takes forever!

I was surprised that the Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary bonus disc comes in it's own amaray box as well!

Graphics are fantastic (i missed out on Virtua Fighter 4) sound and music are great (but for the love of god, make sure you keep the commentary off!)

Sorry it's not very detailed, but i'm off to play some more!

can you give me any details on VF.TV mode? - that sounds pretty interesting to me!

VF.TV is where you can replay your best matches I believe.

not just that, you can watch matches with CPU AI, from what I understand the AI is based on some real (good) VF players and you can watch them in action, you can even turn command inputs on and watch the button presses they use to pull off combo's etc.

Sounds like a good place to learn

Yea, I read the game carrys both English and JPN and displays the language based on your console settings.

I take it your commentary is in English? Is there an option to have ENG or JPN commentary?

I know for a fact I would much prefer the JPN commentary as I can't understand what they're saying and they get far more excited!

What was the English commentary like? I know you've said it's lame but any extra info would be great as I'm really loking forward to this feature. Is it boring, does it sound fake, is it miles off what you're actually doing at the time?

Keep it comin lads n ladies if there is any. I played this heaps when i was in Japan and can't wait to play PS3 vers when i eventually get one. Good to hear how VF.TV etc works compared with the Arcade vers. So want this game it hurts.

dvdmike - normal pad mate - very responsive

Shozuki - on first looks, the VF TV mode appears just be be a bog standard replays/exhibitions player

Goemon - It only had commentary ON/OFF in the settings, and when switch to on, played the english commentary. The commentary is alright for about a minute, but you'll soon want to turn it off - just crappy bog standard "whoa - excellent, nice job, you have to give 100%" - just sounds like it could have come from a WWE game!!

Just having a quick look at this during my lunch break, I agree with Steve's comments, it looks and sounds fantastic (I'm running it in 1080P). Lovely detailed backgrounds and the fighters look very good, some really nice skin textures giving them a nice realistic look. I've mainly been watching a few CPU vs CPU matches on VF.TV so I can marvel at the graphics I was hoping VF.TV would be something along the lines of Gotham TV, but I suppose that was hoping for too much

Only had a few fights on it on arcade mode so far but it plays really well. I'm pretty crap at fighting games though so I'm not really any good for judging the deeper aspects of the fighting system. Oh yeah, the commentary... best left off!!!

The only downside so far: I accidentally ripped the plastic on the box when taking the shrinkwrapping off Anyone know where I can get any blank PS3 cases?

Can anyone confirm/deny if 1080p only works if you disable the consoles 720p support?

Denied! I have 480P, 720P, 1080I and 1080P selected and it boots up and plays in 1080P with no problem.

The 1080p is ment to be upscaled is it not ?
as the arcade runs in 720p
