Is the PS3 stick similar to the Arcade counterpart mate?

the button spacing feels wrong, but yeah - it feels liek the arcade panel.

Perhaps it's subconscious training for a hidden combo?

You ever used the VF4 evo stick DCharlie for comparison?

i have the old ps2 VF sticks - i was hoping to go via the elecom route, but Sega have blocked this path (it doesn't work with the old stick) so yeah...

actually - interesting enough - just put the sticks next to each other and the buttons are not only the same size, but seem to be equally spaced (obviously there are more buttons on the new stick) - however, the buttons feel WAY looser on the new stick

                Cheers m8.

I ordered an Elecom last week but soon as I read about lag I preordered the new vf5 stick.

Been reading about all the new moves in the game (offensive/defensive moves), cannot wait. I came that close to buying a VF4 arcade machine and this is the reason I bought a PS3.

You know of any good host pic sites as well DCharlie m8 as photobucket went ape at me after the Tekken lot I did on GAF hehe?

i'm a big fan of flickr - the $25 a year is well worth it for the silly bandwidth and the fact you upload full res pics and it resizes.

the free package is also pretty good too! check it out

There's an English guide coming soon. Bear in mind the shipping cost is almost as much as the guide, but they ship via UPS.

Yea the guy what has done the english guide has been posting about it on VFDC and its more of beginners to intermediates guide (got no frame commands as Sega wouldnt let them have em), Im thinking of buying that one anyway but Im intrested in the black book first. I really need something next to me in bed as since me coma I find it really difficult for stuff to sink in

Im not a fan of image shack, thanks for the info though.

what a game, been playing it solid since I got home, I can also confirm the 1080p thing (i.e only 480p and 1080p to be selected to run VF5 in 1080p) the game looks superb, easilly the best looking next gen game (something to be said for 60fps sorry Gears!). Gameplay is naturally superb too, been digging into Quest mode, its a nice addition, decent AI and whatnot and some nice goodies to be found.

The commentary is hideous so that went off sharpish! VF.TV is a bit gimmicky but I think its a great way for newcommers to understand how VF plays and shows you what the combo's work etc.

I've just fallen in love - just when I thought my love for games was dieing! shows what I know!

Graphically it's not going to blow people away in my opinion, it's not suprising it's 1080p 60fps when you see it - looks nice just won't leave you with your draw open.

But really brill game. I suck at fighters big time, and have not been trained in the ways of the joystick, but being a long-time Sega fan I'm all too fond of the series anyway.

The Quest mode really make this game for me, being having some real fun, playing in clubs more around my level and getting stuff for my character. Brill.
