3D Fighting Games have always been good showcases for systems. Just look at Sould Calibur on the DC for example. I expect he 360 version to be able to do 1080p at 60fps as well.

Had a quick go on this before I went to Uni this morning and I am not a huge beat em up fan but the few fights I had, I really enjoyed em. Graphically it looks very nice and a good showcase for the PS3's graphical grunt. I didn't have time to learn any combos or anythin yet but I presume the controls are quite simple to learn but hard to master as with any fighting game. Detailed impressions later!

Awesome, awesome stuff!!
An absolute flawless arcade conversion from what I can see. You tend to miss a lot of the finer details in this game owing to the fact that your so wrapped in a battle against your opponent, you don't notice the water splashing up from Lion's hands in the Ruins for example.
Quest Mode is great fun, taking the Japanese arcade scene and cramming it into a BD disc sans the hoards of other players and cigarette smoke. You visit different "arcades" pitting your skills against other "players" and in "tournaments" for various loot. If you wanna keep it easy, you can. But the real challenge is seeing your fare against the higher ranked players and sure enough, the arse kicking is not too far away.
The game does a good job of showcasing the PS3's graphical prowess, with not a hint of screen-tearing or glitching in sight. It looks solid and plays the exact same way. Although, you will NEED a stick. Playing this on a pad really, really is like playing with one arm tied behind your back.

I'm playing with a pad at the minute and finding it fine but I'm gonna pick up a stick at some point in the near future.

I fired this up this morning and actually beat a few 10th dan "players" along the way. The game really does co-erce you into thinking about how you approach a battle; watching for your opportunity to strike and to make those hits count. Make the wrong move and your completely ****ed, since the AI will maximise that opportunity.
My QM progress current sits at 1st dan (45 wins and 0 losses). I know it's a different type of 3D fighter to that of DOA4, but **** me, this really does make it look pedestrian in comparison.

And yeah, this pisses on DoA 4 from a great height. I always thought Tekken had the slight edge over VF, but I can't see Tekken 6 being this good!
