I got this for the 360 today as it was only £20 new in gamestation and i'm really enjoying it so far. Has anyone got any tips about buying parts for your mech as i seem to be finding it quite challenging sometimes and i'm only on chapter 3?

Buying parts takes a bit of getting used to.

There are some parts you need for certain missions so if you are finding it difficult you probably need the right parts.

Also try doing the sims as you can get some good stuff from them.

When I struggled with it I used this forum for guidance.

I bought this game recently too having been sold on some great youtube movies, it reminded me of zone of the enders...or at least, near as damn it

Trouble is i am utter crap at this game! I was an ZOE ace but its all going tits up in core , the forum in the above link seems to have some good info tho so i guess ill go back and give it another try!

Buying parts and fitting a mech is ridiculously over complicated but when you get use to its subtelties you find its a game instelf. Building your mech from scratch using all the parts you have acquired and seeing it become really powerful is quite special. Then factor in the call signs and art you can put on it and you can easily waste hours getting your mech just the way you want it.

I finished the game with an absoltue behemoth of a mech but still had good mobility. I also placed the call signs of my greatest simulation conquests on the armour so I looked mean as ****, hehe. Immense game once you get past the initially confusing customisation options.

And I echo Chopemons advice... get into the simulation battles and take out those AC pilots, great for practice and parts. I rattled through them all as soon as they were available and to be honest they usually gave me better battles than the main story.
