Well its finally here... 
I just grabbed a copy this morning and have managed to play for about an hour before being force to go to work... all I can say is I really wanted to pull a sickie because the game is excellent.
I've only played a bit of GH on the PS2 before now and I am left-handed... if anything the only flaw with the new 360 X-plorer controller is that now the back button is tucked away and hard to reach so tilting the guitar is now really the only way to activate the star power properly. Either way it works perfectly once you get used to it and the guitar is equally as comfortable left/right handed.
Achievements look like fun, I've got the leftie (hendrix) one already for obvious reasons but there is plenty to do in the game. The achievements dont all unlock automatically if you pick higher difficulties either so you literally have to play through easy and step-up... that'll be fun for some, others might hate it.
The best part about the game though is the audio is 5.1 now and sounds great. The covers in the game are still a bit annoying but thats not going to change really, and being able to chat online whilst playing is cool...
The controller cord is a good length so it doesnt bother me either. A wireless controller would be cool as a second back-up but for now everything in the box provided is really good quality.
In short, dont hestitate and go and pick up this baby. Apparently there is download content song packs due soon as well, probably in the next week. There is going to be plenty of life in this game thats for sure.
10/10 for me... cant really fault it without being really nitpicking. Oh and they've confirmed the guitar WILL work with the new EA Rock Band game.
