Soldier of Fortune 2? Call of Duty? Call or Duty 2? Quake`s? UT`s? To name but a few.

When compared to even the average PC FPS games both Halo and Halo 2 fall short I`m affraid.

Depends what you like I guess, I never really liked the high speed nature of pc fps games, and the unrealistic speeds at which you turned etc. Far prefer the more sedate pace of Halo tbh. As I say each to there own.

You can adjust your look sensitivity, send it right up and you should be able to spin around a bit quicker !

I'll start by saying I love Halo but suck at online multiplayer.

Graphically is very nice, not sure why people say it looks like Halo2, I remember Halo2 for its really blocky environments - every building was just big and lacked detail.

For a first timer (never played Halo2 online) its instantly more familar than Gears and I actually managed to kill 16 people I guess thats the beauty of matchmaker in that as I'm ****e I will only face ****e players right? (or does it not work like that)

I guess this morning, your not neccessarily going to be facing ****e players, as everyone will be starting at 0. Think I went to 3 after my first game though, so I guess ranks will start to balance out quite quickly !

Isn't that big of a difference.

Edit: Also console developers have really got to stop using this red/yellow/green icon to display your connection to someone else, give us our actual ping.

My rating thingy went to 3 as well after the first game does it just keep going up and up as you progress or is it like a scale from 0-10.

Goes up if you do well down if you do badly, or atleast I would presume it does. Old system went to level 50, but that did not contain ranks etc, not quite sure how all that works as yet !

Wow seems someones failed to read. Since when did the CoD, Quake, UT come out after Half life 2? CoD a console game as well, Quake and UT haven't done anything above Mediocre for years. And Sof is good game? LOL, that speaks volumes for your taste mate. PC FPS gamers really are in a fantasy league of there own. Call me when the Quake and UT make there Battlefield Clones will you?

To be fair battlefield is essentially a clone of the team fortress quake mod.

General feelings were: underwhelmed with the graphics although it was the snow level and i've heard that's not great. The pickup weapon text didn't show up that well either.

Gameplay is pretty solid but i'm sorry to say I fall into the pc FPS (sorry tobal )

From what I understand, even numbered CoD are made for the PC first.
