Right, as I've had a play for 2-3 hours so far, here's my thoughts...
1) Gravity as mentioned, is a pretty mixed bag. You can float and stall or dive and speed up. There isn't quite the ability as per FZX to glide through the air.
2) Combat isn't as prevalent... yet. Have to wait and see on the higher difficulty levels whether it can make or break the difference in winning. It also has a factor in...
3) The tracks... which in general are far wider and spacious than FZX. Naturally, wider tracks means less chance to hit people with the attacks and kill them. Also easier to get round as I've played the first two cups so far. Apart from the end track on Sapphire (Mute City) which is a right pain in the arse for falling off a lot!
4) Story mode is hard, I've had to attempt each one a few times to pass it so far. Good challenges though.
5) Sound... ah people are starting to complain a bit here. I've found the music to be far less intrusive than FZX. On the other hand, that may be because I'm finding it far less pounding, involving and catchy. It's pretty good overall, but not in the FZX class. Drivers' signature tunes are quite impressive however, open up some of the racers and listen to the music in their profiles.
