What do yers think of this?

Personally I think the presentation is ver good, but I just couldn't dig the gameplay. I've really gave it a good go, honest. Yes, I'm a PES fan.

I couldn't get used to the dribbling. It just felt like I wasn't in complete control as it felt over animated (if you get what I mean). Turning seemed sluggish.

Maybe FIFA fans will like it. But as a PES player, apart from the visuals (which sometimes are a bit cheesy - the tunnel cutscene where 2 players are crouching down and another player runs past tapping them both as if to say "let's go boys!". Walking of the field cutscene too where the team walk off in a Resivoir Dogs fashion... all moody) and the sound (no doubt it'll be even better with the commentary), this seems to lack the zippy responsivness of PES.

I really really like it personally. The trick stick thing works well and lets you pull off tons of moves. Shooting also feels more responsive in 08 quite an improvement over the Champions League game..

The best thing tho has to be the Pro camera mode. In Pro the camera rotates around the stadium and then centers behind the player you are controlling when you get the ball, takes a bit of getting used to but i love it now.

After REALLY enjoying 07, I have to say this version I didn't like the gameplay at all! It felt way too hard and in two goes I couldn't score, or to be honest get near scoring more than once a game.

Might try the pro camera mode, cos in normal cam mode I couldn't get on with it. I don't know why I found it so different to 07 but I did!

Ive just shoved my old USA account on for the free Halo theme and picture packs (under best buy if you dont know) and added this and Eternal Sonata also to download. Im a PES man but I usually buy Fifa each year even though I always in the past have taken em back to Game and said, its crap I will use my laminated 10day return card please, but now I cant so I wont it stops on the shelf

The trick is not to play it like Pro Evo.

I like it, PES 2008 had better be a major improvement over PES6 or else it's going back. In fact, PES is in danger of being out-PES'd at the moment by this, it plays a nice game of football at a decent pace. The presentation is top-notch and will be a nice alternative to PES mainly for the 5v5 online.

Just played it another 4 times...

Sorry this is just ****ing ****. It's ATROCIOUS. It's near impossible to get the ball off the opponent at times without resorting to giving away a foul. It's very pretty and the animation is fluid and nice looking but they've completely lost the gameplay from 07.

No matter what player you are using, they can't even control it properly.
No matter where you pass it, the opposition players are miliseconds away.
No matter where you pass it, they'll beat the reciever to it.
No matter the player, they are all the same speed.
Just when you FINALLY get a shooting chance, the ball is magically taken away again by the superdefenders.

It's just bad, and 07 was pretty fun. I'm gutted, I love my footy games, won't be buying one this month

Try the PC Demo of Fifa 08 guys although its the ps2 engine the gameplay is so much better than the 360/ps3 version way more responsive different attributes for each player work realy well (you can hardly get near Eto/Ronaldo/Henry ect and the defending is well more forgiving than this version.

I knew the 360/PS3 version would be naff so ill be signing on for a year of Fifa 08 on PC or may even pick up PS2 version and play it on my PS3.

Forgot to say again it might only be a one half demo but its way longer than you get on 360/PS3
