No chance mate. I've played 6/7 times now, ONE goal in all of those matches and that was my opponents, I've not even come close yet.

The demo is set to semi-pro as well.

I've scored around 1 or 2 every game (well its 45 mins) so it's not THAT hard.

I personally think it's quite good a lot different to Pro Evo and there's loads of nice touches I keep noticing the more I play. The way the skill moves work is great too.

I'll be getting it on release.

New year, same old Fifa to me After the rut Konami seems to be getting itself in with some stale recent PES iterations, i was genuinely hoping for this to be good this year. It isn't.

I prefered this to the PC demo tbh, it felt like the PS2 game which I really dont like.

I don't have a PC capable of gaming, hence why I have consoles

              Still bitterly disappointed in this

Interesting how this has polarised opinion, but I guess that's pretty typical for a footy game.

Just tried this out and you know what I think it is decent, no PES beater but decent nonetheless. The gameplay seems to have been slowed down a lil from the usual "arcadey" pace and it seems to have worked well as now you can play a passing game. I like the skill trick stuff but I can only pull off a sidesteps, 360's and dummies/feints at the moment. Graphically it looks nice from far away but zoom in and you see how "ugly" the players look, one look at the recreation of Tevez and I will forever have nightmares. I mean the guy ain't no looker but they made him into a monster, lol! Yet again for a FIFA there is no difference in height between players, they all look like they are the same height and in some cases build aka growth stunted dwarves! Overall there is a decent game of virtual football to be had from FIFA 08 but again I shall only buy it as a stop gap until PES 2008 is released.

                    Realy..???

I know where u are coming from with the PS2 look on the PC which is a shame but to me PC Fifa 08 realy does play a lot better and at least players real life characteristcs are much better implemented than in either of the next gen versions .

Ah well maybe next years Fifa next gen will be the one to have.

Have had a quick play only as it took bloody ages to download. I guess the server is getting hammered. Anyway, coming from PES its always going to feel alien. The first thing that struck me was that the players still "feel" like Fifa players always have done. Its a strange thing to say, but I think its the way they walk/run on the pitch, it feels really different from PES and not as natural.

There's no doubting that it looks damn good and is very detailed although like others have said, the up-close stuff is a bit ropey. Having said that, its refreshing to have all the right players in the right kits and I don't think that should be underestimated in its appeal. The online multiplayer obviously has a lot of potential.

Getting in to the game and after a few matches I was tinkering with controller settings and the game settings and with each half I was feeling more in control of what was going on and more comfortable with the players. Even just playing about on the menu with Ronaldhino while games were loading is strangely addictive and a nice way to get used to the controls. I have to say that I love some of the animation and the way the ball moves in the air.

The game as it stands has a few things going against it.

                      1. Its not PES and doesn't feel like PES. So straight away I think some players will dismiss it within minutes.

                      2. It seems to have a lot of customisable attributes which will affect how the game plays. So I'm going to persist with these to see how much you can slow the gameplay down. On the default setting, the whole thing feels a bit rushed and as a result the pitch shrinks and you have no time on the ball which I think makes the whole thing feel arcadey. Maybe this is a good thing if you just want a kick about with your mate(s) though, especially if they're just wanting to pick up the game and play it with a minimum of practice. One of the downsides of PES is that you really have to invest time in it to improve and get the most from it.

Definitely needs an in depth play before I can decide whether its going to be a buyer or not.

Gave it some more time this evening and it still isn't clicking for me. The game feels erm... floaty, passes and shots seem to lack a sense of weight (difficult to explain).

Some of the (if not all) player models look very odd. Materazzi is built like frankenstein.

Wont be buying this, it still has that stuck in sand feeling. It nothing much than a touched up 07 imho. Shame as i wanted this to fill the online 2v2 gap now that pes wont have that this year.

I downloaded the PS3 version so not sure if it's massively different from the 360 one, but was not impressed in the slightest.

The control just did not feel natural at all. Whereas in PES/WE dribbling and changing direction feels like one fluid motion, here each change in direction feels really disjointed. Some of the player likenesses are atrocious as well.

Certainly won't be challenging PES2008 for my money this year.

couldn't see any real differences between both versions. Although I did notice a lack of a referee (and linesman) on the pitch when playing PS3 version. Can't remember if they were there on 360.
