I went from 45 ish to 75 ish over the weekend and I saw Bungie.net this morning and now I'm back down to 45 ish with all my stats gone but all my matches listed. Hopefully they come back like last time.

As great as some of the stats are on bungie.net, there are a lot of them for a lot of people so I`m not suprised it goes a little tits up once in a while.

Mine seems ok with the exception of my highest skill rank being 1 point lower and my player snapshot is wearing the wrong armour, other than that as long as the stats are correct in game that`s all I`m worried about.

Am I right in thinking when I hit 20 Exp I get an achievement, for my induction into the Spartan rankings?

I started this and it's as I fear, I'm really **** and that prevents the fun happening.

I was up against some ridiculous number of enemies (and I'm only on normal, the wuss I am) and quickly ran out of ammo, so was faced with taking them all on with some thing that fires green things, and shoots so slowly that the enemies just sidestep out of the way. I figure I've beaten them all, go on a bit, and then from nowhere some massive thing with a club smashes me to death and I get to do it all again. Oh, yay. This is level one, FFS.

I don't know what I do wrong on FPS games, I really don't , I just don't get them

Well, the only bit in level 1 where you face a LOT of enemies is in the base at the end of the level, so I presume this is where you are (you start up on a cliff ledge overlooking it all?)

I'm guessing you're starting off by shooting at the enemies from the relative safety of the high vantage point, so you're probably not making effective use of your ammo unless you have a decent long range weapon (carbine, etc) ... assault rifle and stuff will be pretty useless at that range.

Get down amongst it and make good use of cover and the melee attack. On normal difficulty, you can take a fair bit of punishment, so dinnae be feart ... you're a Spartan!

And the brute with the "club" (hammer) has an invincibility power-up which he will use once you damage him enough ... keep away from him until it wears off.

There is an option to disable all comms in the settings, I find its pretty useful for silencing A) the american kids B) the achievement whores and C) the groans of people as I kill them

Anyone had problems getting silver skulls ??? I've picked two up over the w/e whilst on a terminal run on normal and they didn't unlock - do I need to play on heroic or higher???
