I'm glad you've found someone else to validate your opinion because, as you'll notice, your previous post which said exactly the same thing was ignored by everyone else here.

We get it. You don't think much of the plot. Move on please.

Too much plagiarism on here these days

More on the vehicles, I love them. Obviously when you first play Halo it was a little weird and new which is expected as the control scheme is strange but once your used to it, it works perfectly, just jump in any matchmaking game with vehicles and you'll see everyone controlling them 100% perfect.

Just takes some getting used to and all adds to the Halo universe.

I have to admit my thoughts on vehicles were the same when I played Halo 1, I hated the warthog controls. However I'm very used to them now and they're not a problem, I enjoy the vehicle aspect be it taking down scarabs on a Gauss warthog or racing into an enemy base flanked by a pair of mongooses.

the last forerunner though, or is that only what Guilty Spark thinks?

Humans are descendents of the forerunners, so it isn't just the chief which is why Truth used Johnson to activate the rings. You can find out more about this reading the terminals.

              Dives into some interesting stuff.

Humans are in no way related to the Forerunners at all, Although they and the Planet were protected or 'indexed' because they considered to be special.

Well i went back without quitting out and redid mission 7 and got the acheivement. Plus was I the only one that didn't think mission 8 was that bad. It isn't too long.

                  Mission 7: Can someone explain...

The whole business with The Flood. Why do they become your allies for a short while before trying to kill you again for the rest of the game? The rest of the story was quite coherent, but that bit didn't seem very well explained to me

This Halo wiki page (which also has the complete terminal texts) says the content changes depending on what difficulty you play on. Most terminals have different text for Legendary or all other modes, except Terminal 5, which has different text for each skill level. Fortunately they're all on the page so no need to go back to it umpteen times

Kubrick, I didn't get that either. Apparently

they joined you because the Prophet was going to fire the Ark which would have destroyed them. So you shared a goal. Once the Prophet was dead, you were now enemies again.

I can't rememer who makes the comment but when you get near that section, someone says the MC/Arbiter are too late and can't get to Truth in time. Knowing this, the flood join with you to stop Truth activating the Halos which neither the Flood nor humans/elites want. Once Truth is removed and the Halos are no longer a threat, the Flood return to trying to kill you and continue galactic domination.

I have a question regarding the skill points on the MP game.

I`ve been twatting this game since I got it but one thing is really bugging me. I play with one or two people in my party who`s skill points increase at a far greater rate than my own.

We win together and we lose together, but the 90% of the time I finish higher in any score table no matter what the gametype, I get more kills, I get more medals, I get more MVP`s, I have a miles better kill/death ratio and yet my skill points increase at much slower rate.

Rubiq for example has been playing the game 5 minutes and got as many skill points in an evening as it took me to get in a week whilst playing in my party eventhough he doesn`t perform aswell as I do. I also have another player on my friends list that happens to be one of the worst games players I`ve ever had the misfortune to have on my team and his skill points are rocketing too!!

I have 190 exp and 18 skill points. Please help cos it`s driving me mad!!

                          Cheers!

edit - These players with fast increasing skill points are all of a lower overall rank than me though, I don`t know if that makes any difference.

just finished it today. wanted it to 'last' a bit longer so hadn't touched it this week

with these terminals, i think i remember reading one of them (the letters would jump about and stuff if i remember) but that was it. are they dotted around all over the place or what?

also, has anyone else had fun when they leave the AI to control the vehicles? i've been mowed down by my own guys a few times while admiring the scenery (followed by an ironic soundbite about how master chief's been killed and omg it's all over, etc), and when sitting in the passenger seat (or gun turret) i've had the AI drive the damn warthog right off a cliff! it was more funny than annoying, though.

also it's funny how you can mow down baddies without the warthog breaking a sweat, but i got toppled over a few times running over those little spidery flood thingies

                            my cool bits:

                            - destroying my first scarab
                            - seeing TWO scarabs drop from the sky later on in the game
                            - the final driving bit with the big buildings falling all over the place and the physics causing the panels to drop differently each time replayed, having inevitably driven off the edges (it happened A LOT), and also being in control of the final jump into the hangar (there was something comedic about arbiter getting chased by the tank)
                            - the gravemind's booming voice. i was upset that we never actually got to see him, bar the two tentacles that tried to swipe the ship. that was a bit of a let-down for me. i'd have preferred fighting him instead of that robot box spark thing

The catch skull location is a startlingly poor piece of game design. It's ridiculously frustrating to do on single player.

Agreed, I finally did it with a parked Ghost and a bit of grenade jumping, but there were a lot of deaths before that.
