Frontline: Fuel of War (demo and full game)

Has anybody bought this today? I know the online is awesome, but hows the single player?

I got it as did Chopemon, Yoshimax and a few others. If there is a crowd on tonight i doubt ill get a chance to touch single player!!

So how come when I played the MP Demo it felt like pants due to the EXTREME lag & lack of players?

1) standard version
2) special version (with t-shirt etc)
3) the version i got from gamestation came in a yellow metal tin with the soundtrack.

The lag is unbelievably bad at the moment, I hope it isn't always like this or I will be returning it. Sad as I loved Battlefield on the PC and this is the closest thing I have seen to it.

ahh, so tried to have a game of this today.

this morning : the room was never full enough for a game to start , always 6-7 players short.
this afternoon : as above, however unless it was a EU server i was kicked out of every game the instant after it loaded up.
tonight : the game can only find one server in the entire world, apparently there are 24 people in it , but it won't let me join, apparently the game is no longer available.

complete crap, they might as well call it Call of Duty or Halo Live as they are the only games you can ever seem to bloody play

Got PC version today, and just beat the campaign mode, it's very short only 7 levels, and story is kind of nonsense. You see almost nothing about oil which the beard guy talk alot from the intro, enmey is simply super evil communist, they invade other country, brainwash people, use nuke bulbulabula. Ending is a lame, American heros defeat Rassian, and this fanal level named "history repeat" ==

Mutiplay is fun, as my opinion, more intresting than BF series, however it lack of MP map, only 5 of them and you may get bored after a while. Also lots of bugs in PC version.

I reckon it could be good, but in a weekend of play (on and off) I've managed to join exactly 1 multiplayer match. The rest of the time it was constant 'this session is no longer available' messages. Very frustrating, and a shame because it's obvious that most people will give up and trade in the game (and I certainly wouldn't blame them).

Single player is ok, a big improvement over Battlefield 2, but I suppose that's not exactly hard!

PLayed 10hours of this at weekend online on evenings pretty much no problem at all on 360. You get the no longer available if the server is full or it ends when your trying to join but other than that we had a great time in clan playing it and on I think it was Yoshi's host on Friday night.

For me its BF2 on 360 (by same lot anyway) and is fantastic. Yes it could do with a bit of tweaking, should make it easier to spot ammo crates with an icon and it needs proximity chat or say left dpad to switch (as thats redundant at moment) but stuff like that is susposed to be on the cards. I like my COD4 for what it does but this is more of a clan game, massive scale and more to do and for me what Ive missed from all the years I PC gamered. Multiplayer wise its dead easy to get around 4 player only chat anway you just set up 3 chat sessions and get paged inbetween, very easy to setup attack and defend that way.

Single player - Well I didnt buy it for that its one of the few games that single player dont bother me. I expected very little other than bots but it has a half descent single player game. If you play it one life for a level it wont last you 3hours (part of achievements) and its damn hard that way but if you play it rushing thru its easily breakable as you get alot of respawns (as its just using the same multiplayer engine to let you respawn x amount of times at a base then gives you more at the next one).

If you want a great multiplayer game then it easily gets an 8 but if you want solo only move along as its not worth a 5.
