Hot Chip's Ready for the Floor was a nightmare to stop start but Rev and the Makers The state of things was awesome

Crikey. Just did 'Unfinished Sympathy' as my first track and was a bit taken back at how intense even that got. Will try and get some time with this during the week but between Gyakuten Saiban 4 and Prof Layton I can see my DS taking up a lot of my gaming time

Some tracks definitely show off the music recognition tech (or whatever you want to call it) better than others. That Flashbulb track Silvergun made a video of is a good one in that respect; also I tried BT Running Down The Way Up, which was pretty effective - very, very nice progression from very slow/easy to pacy/breakneck sections. Other tracks don't translate half so well - I tried LoStep Because We Can... anyone who knows that track (or decides to look it up ) will recognise it's pretty frantic, but for some reason AudioSurf interpreted it as one long uphill section. >_<

Hey, I tried doing Vifta Med Handerna (Basshunter Remix) and Audiosurf thought it was 1 second long with a gold score of 0 points.

I agree with Rooks' post though. There are some songs which are amazing to play and accurately reflect the track, but some songs which just for some reason don't.

I tried Hand Throw by Venetian Snares, which is basically heavy Jungle that just translates to noise in the last minute, and the majority of the song was mild uphill / green cars.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you 16 epic minutes of J-Core / Sharpnel Sound in stealth finish form.

5 songs crudely combined for continuity. The rest of the album will be going up in 2 more parts tomorrow.

Probspot and Ben Lost - Blows My Mind... hey, at least I stealth finished something. Only Mono Pro, but eh. Interesting course, too.

One that's, ah, a slightly broken interpretation... Fluke and Atom Bomb... not really Audiosurf's fault since you can tell the song has very little in the way of dynamics, but it's funny seeing it turned into a ski-jump.

Well if anyone's played Dance factory, you'll realise just how good the beat recognition is in this. As far as I'm aware it's incredibly difficult to do well and to cover such a wide variety of songs on this is truly impressive

This is great (based on my demo experience). But my PC can't handle it in a window heheh. No sure if it's my card again, but the beats all seemed to arrive earlier than what was on the screen. Scaling lag?

Since Friday, I have currently amassed 30.2 hours on Audiosurf. Intense-twitchy-eye-syndrome onset.

But it was so damn worth it. Especially with the Wired 360 controller compatability - I've not even attempted with a mouse or keyboard yet.

Edit: Oh, and I recommend Fire Fire by The Maccabee's. Good god that song's frantic.

And I WILL do that damn Lawn Wake II on Stealth. 15 times now, FIFTEEN have I hit only a single grey block. I may just cry.

Try 25~30 attempts at the fourth song in that compilation vid. No joke.

Lawn Wake was a problem for me but it fell eventually. Try using the mouse for it and bump the sensitivity right up.

Thought that was worth a mention Silvergun

Edit: All with the 360 pad too. Stuff ya' mouse!

This game redefines the word EPIC. I bought it earlier and have been playing it ever since.
How are you guys recording your videos, might I ask?
Oh, and if anyone fancies adding me, my tag = merciana

FRAPS recording in windowed mode, half size @ 30fps.

Re-encoded into Xvid and mp3 audio with VirtualDub.

It seems that my game never, ever manages to find any online scores for the song I've played. I know for sure other people have played these songs, so I think my game might be bugged? Anyone else getting this problem?

Sometimes it does that when there's problems with the scoreboards servers (High popularity for example. They completely underestimated how popular this game'd be =]).

Any high scores you get when scoreboards are down don't keep - I know this first hand from getting a 85k score Stealth on The Pretender, and it not even registering. mumblemumblegrumble.
