I don't understand why I'm installing this for a 3rd time now? Why not just give you a 20 minute install at the start.

      On a better note,

Just saw the Raiden Part, that was phenomenal! I just hope he isn't dead, It'd be great if he was an unlockable character or something.

It probably installs and deletes each section every time it does it, rather than have like 20GB on your hard drive at once maybe?

And about the difficulties, they were deffo in the original MGS2, I played that thousands of times on all the difficulties and one of the modes was that if you even got spotted, it was game over!

I'd rather they just give me the option tbh.

So.. Guys with this and know for sure, is it 60fps or 30fps? MGS2 was mint with its 60fps display, even though it had tearing, whereas MGS3 felt a little more sluggish because it was only ever 30fps and suffered from serious drops at times.

            So, 60 or 30?

            Thanks.

              WHAT A BLOODY GAME!!!!

There's just so many different things that really stand out in it, I've not enjoyed playing anything this much for what seems like years.

What skill level are people playing it on? I've gone for the normal one it's really not easy when you get spotted. It's just so tense when you're

hiding in some thick grass after being spotted and there's a squad of 5 or 6 alert troops easing their way over towards you with their guns raised and you're praying for the clock to count down before they get you. You've got a choice to wait and just lie there and hope they don't step on you or to try running away as combat is usually not a good idea.

I just keep finding things I'd not spotted before, it's going to take quite a few plays before you completely work everything out.

The amount of variety there is with the customisation of weapons is really impressive, it took me a while before I realised that you could customise them so much.

I've decided what I want for Christmas now because of this. Does anybody know where to buy a

              cheap mortar

from as they may well be the best things on the planet?

I have a new hobby of trying to find the ugliest possible wallpaper or carpet just so I can match my camouflage with it.

Oh this is what I meant to ask ages ago, kept forgetting...

Can you pause cutscenes? With all these really long ones, I want to be able to pause them or possibly rewind, something like that! I do love the story so don't want to miss parts. Especially with the

                apparent 90 minute long one

                !!?

You can pause and skip them. There hasn't been any really long ones so far apart from maybe the intro to the first act which you don't even see unless you go into the options and choose to watch it.

Nowt wrong with having that as a difficulty setting for those MG hardcores amongst us, sadly I don't fall into that category.
Difficulties are (going harder as they go up obviously) Liquid Easy, Naked Normal, Solid Normal, Big Boss Hard. I think there is also an extreme difficulty but you have to finish the game once to unlock that. Started on Big Boss Hard myself and finding it just about the perfect challenge for me.

If you're into the story mate you will love the cut-scenes, the ones I have watched so far have been brilliant. You're in for a treat

I totally agree, a good few hours in now and it has been a superb gaming experience.

yeh I noticed you or something said something about that intro, which I will deffo go and watch too! As long as you can pause them, I'm happy! Would be criminal to have missed that out as I don't believe you could pause in any of the previous ones could you?

You're starting on Big Boss Hard!!! Sack that man, I'll be going for Solid Normal probably, I might even wuss out and go for Naked Normal!

Go for Solid Normal, that's the standard one. It's just about right really but there is so much that you have to relearn to play this well.

I'm looking forward to/worrying about playing this on the extreme level as you have to be so careful not to get spotted while playing.

It's 30, no tearing. I suspect there could well be some kind of built in motion interpolation (if that is possible) as very occasionally it moves really weird. I thought it was my TV, but 100hz was turned off.

There is a very subtle motion blur there too

Theres a bit of slowdown here and there. But i aint complaining, the game is absolutly stunning. Ive never seen a shift from a cutscene to gameplay seem so bloody smooth. Ive only played it for an hour or something. The game is a thing of beauty.
