Great impression, I am really woried about this
Cancelling seemed alot more
stricter and harder to do. I couldn't do a short, short super with Ryu regardless of how many times I tried to dash in and force one out! Infact, I don't even think I managed to link a super on the end of a single normal attack while I was there.

While I was in the queue at BoD on Saturday, I saw someone playing as Guile and he was doing the same skanky Guile tricks that work on the 2D SF games. Then someone else was Zangief and he too was also doing the same skanky Zangief tricks that work on the 2D SF games.
It was at this point that I realised SF4 really does mean business. Someone else in the queue was moaning about the skankiness, but to me it was the first time I'd realised that SF4 will definitely be worth it, and it was for me the best thing to cement all that talk about them wanting SF4 to play like SF2. Up until that point, I'd been convinced that 3D SF would always play like the EX games, but seeing these guys playing it so naturally (and, I assume, for the first time) just made me go all tingly.
And then I had my go, and the cement had become dry.
Seeing Balrog's eyes bulging out just before I did my super dragon punch was hilarious. Also, those little ultra combo cutscenes are short enough not to get annoying, which is what I'd been worried about (that they'd ruin the rhythm but cutting into a tension-filled fight).

Great impressions Jassi ? You?ve got my hyper to play this game! >_<
I?m a bit paranoid about the ST skank as they could make some matches boring as hell to fight (Turtling Guile ? No thanks!) I?m hoping that this focus attack can really break some of the skank up?Only time will tell I guess.
I take it there?s no air focus attack? I loved the air parry, it could really f*ck peoples strategies!

I think the machines will be going on tour. Mr Megalo over at we-play-games.com will be able to tell you. He set them up at BOD. The guy who looked like Andy Bogard.Last edited by Super Monkey Balls; 31-07-2008, 11:34.

I got to play this on Saturday at BoD and I thought it was great. Felt a lot like Street Fighter II Turbo with III's EX moves which is a bonus. I am just hoping the console versions have- Online Play (Worldwide players, not region specific)
- Street Fighter III characters (some would be nice)
- New characters ( Completely new)
- For it to come out soon!! LOL
It looked fantastic! The graphics at 60fps is sweet and I can't wait to pick this up for the PS3 which I hope is soon! Uni and inserting money into Arcade Machines isn't a good mix!!!

Been playing this over the past few days here in Tokyo on my hols. I can safely say that I cannot wait to get hold of this and an arcade stick on console.
Been playing it on the back-to-back link-up machines and mostly getting my arse handed to me, but I still keep coming
Ive mostly been using Zangief. The graphics are stunning. Managed to pull off several super combo moves on unsuspecting uber leet locals, but then I got spammed by jumping double fireball from Gouki for my troublesThey are really good here... as I thought. But then, Im no legend at it.
Arcades are a plenty here and I effin love it. Loads of SFIV and lots of Tekken 6. Lots of weird card based arcades. A Sega footy one too.

Just finished the annual works conference. Capcom had 4 cabinets as part of their booth (as well as Resi, Bionic Commando & Dead Risiing Wii but they're a different story).
It's absolutely sublime! Brings back memories of being 12 again and opening up my SNES with SF2 - everything I knew regarding the game back then came flooding back the minute I picked Ken.
It looks incredible, the brush stroke outline when you're charging your Focus move looks great and the facial animation when you unleash your Ultra move is stunning!! Chun Li is just the most amazing piece of character animation I have ever seen!
Also played as Viper - she reminds me of Vanessa from KOF because of her art style but she plays in a very aggressive way. She has to as she doesn't seem to have any priority so you need to get her moves out first or get battered.
Don't think we'll see a home version this year but when it does hit I'll aim to be one of the first in the queue.
Oh, Leo Tan at Capcom is too good at this game. I won a couple of rounds against him but I know I was being lulled into a false sense of security before he totally annihilated me!
