Absolutly loving this game it's untrue! Really good sequel to one of the best live arcade games. Only thing i'm not keen on is the emphasis on massive multi-million scoring points system. The original made you work for the million which i loved about it, this makes a mockery of it which is a shame. Apart from that it seems a really well balanced game which is still great to play with custom soundtracks. Bit of Metallica and Megadeth if i please. Game of the year!

I thought Geometry Wars would be a bit past it after newer, similar titles like Super Stardust HD, but I've fallen for it all over again. It's improved on the original, with a ton of new modes and not a stinker among them.

If you have a big TV, try four-player multi. It's absolute carnage and must be unplayable on standard def.

Loving this game.
my favourite mode is King, then pacifism.
Not as keen with waves.
I'm top of friends leaderboard on Waves and King though probably won't be long till Kubrick and Dazzyman change that though

I'm loving this, I really like the way it displays your next score to beat in the top right, It's fun owning your own friends list (this doesn't have anything to do with why I've cleared out half my friends list though)

Deadline is the mode that made me love Geometry Wars. I got 4.9 million and then a RROD as I tried to go back for 5 mil. Oh well!

A hidden mode enabling a 3D camera mode inside Geometry Wars 2 has been uncovered. Check out our exclusive video to the right.

The hidden function was posted on the Geometry Wars 2 wiki (thanks Giant Bomb) over the weekend, along with instructions for activating it.

To try it yourself, make sure you've got only one control pad connected and hit 'Back' and the right-bumper simultaneously during gameplay.

You should trigger a free camera mode that you can control with the thumb sticks and trigger buttons.

Anyone tried this yet?

Yeah it does work, it pauses the game and you can zoom around in 3D, all the explosions are actually in 3D.

Tried out the camera thing, pretty ace.

2 Enemies are particularly annoying me.
Those greens on most modes, just seem bloody impossible to hit at times
and even more annoying those snake things on King. Such a small area to hit, makes it really difficult to cross to other zones too coz of the long, unshootable tail

wouldn't be so bad if the tails reflected the bullets or let a smaller percentage of them go straight through

My worst enemy is the wave type enemies, the arrow things. Especially when they spawn around you in a circle.

Im crap at this lol Ones that annoy me the most are the green ones that follow you but when you fire at em they move out of the way. The arrow ones with the trail I just aim at the tip as quick as possible.

GeoWars2 is hugely addictive !!! loving the game ! doesn't matter which mode I start playing, as soon as I'm playing it, I want to have that "one more go" feeling to get a better highscore !

I've now got all the achievements bar the Sequence ones done! I'm assuming Smile is a Sequence achievement, it sounds like it is. I love how nearly every achievements places you in a mode and makes you do something you wouldn't normally consider doing in that mode. It'd be cool if it let you do them over and over after you've unlocked them though, another leaderboard with how many enemies you kill off gates in Deadline, etc, would be interesting and effectively double the stuff to do in the game!

My high scores, however, not so good. I'm getting steadily better and better at Deadline, and I think I can take any improvement there into Evolved, when I go back to that. Waves I dislike greatly. Pacifism I can't stop playing and it has my most respectable score (40m or so).

Myfave is pacificism, the score racks up satisfyingly quickly, I just managed 283mil a couple of times
