That's true for Evolved and Sequence, but if you die in Deadline you lose precious seconds when the baddies won't spawn, ie less multiplier geoms to harvest.

It feels like you "level down" when you die in deadline too. If you go for ages then when you die and respawn the enemies are nearly as strong as they were when you died. If you die a few times in quick succession the enemies spawn slowly and weakly.

Or I might be seeing stuff that isn't there. But my (albeit low) scores are clearly way higher when I survive longer.

You "level down" in Deadline when you use a bomb too. Try using 5 in a row and watch how things grind to a halt.

Been playing this quite a bit over the last few days, I love the pacifism mode! I just got 87 million on it, probably not the highest score but I did feel rather pleased as it is the highest score compared to anyone on my friends list

I'm quite addicted to this, doesn't matter which mode I'm playing, I just want to have that one more go !

playing Deadline is probably my favourite , I have/had a highscore battle with one of my friends, he had 10mil, next day I had 11mil, next he had 12mil, next I had 13mil... till he had one day later 23mil !! damn..... still haven't even got near that score...

and yes in Deadline it's key to stay alive, when you die it takes some time get the screen filled with enemies again, and in Deadline you need every second to raise the score in the end...

            ok, one more go then.

How many times did you die to get those scores? My top score is about 8.5mil on Deadline and that's dying maybe three or four times in the 3 minutes. The top scores are 60mil plus - I'm assuming that's going the time without dying once. Impressive!

I think I died about 2 or 3 times to get to the 13mil scores...

I can't complete Sequence! The furthest I've got is to the first one on the last row. Damn hard.

                  Any tips to sequence mode?

Like most things, it gets much easier with practise and is all about memorising the patterns and positioning your ship accordingly. Best advice I can give is don't use a smart bomb for the first 8 levels, make sure you hit at least 10 mil as, along with hitting 100K, that will give you five lives and five bombs to play with, don't be worried about letting the time run out as it's far better to lose a little score than a life. Some levels (like 9 and 12) seem crazy at first but are perfectly achieveable without using smart bombs when you employ the right tactics. You should not be losing a life on level 16, it looks crazy but it's possible to beat it using just the one smart bomb. You really want to have a spare life or at least a spare smart bomb on the final level as it's almost impossible beating it without and incredibly frustrating to get so close and fail at the last hurdle.

Once you do get the Sequence achievement you have the Smile achievement to look forward to which requires purposely dying on five of the stages, letting the time run out on two, beating all the other levels within thirty seconds each and attempting the final level with one life. It's tough.

                        But you did it! Pro'.

Thanks for the advice; i'll concentrate on the first two rows without dieing first, then attempt the rest.

Well I managed to get to the end of sequence. Not going to bother with the Smile achievement though.

All I need now is the Wax on achievement, I done it once easily, but can't get around twice. Any tips for this one? Should I keep focusing on touching the walls constantly, or when it gets too crowded should I focus on the gates, destroying the enemy and only touch a few parts of the wall when a chance is available.

Compared to the game's other achievements, luck plays a quite a large role in Wax Off, but, saying that, there are still tactics that can help. First, make sure you get Wax On quickly, if you don't get it quickly, quit and start again as you want as few enemies on screen as possible when going for the second run. On the second run, try getting the corners out of the way first while there are fewer enemies about as they quickly become death traps. Don't focus solely on the walls, activating gates to destroy enemies or leaving the walls to lead enemies away from where you need to go often works well - just be quick about it.

The ship moves much slower when you rub heavily against the walls, and especially when its hitting them at an angle, so always try and keep it parallel and facing straight ahead.

If you just lightly skim along the walls you can get most of the work done before it starts to get busy.
