Isn't there a re-release of the JPN Afrika that features English text? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

I have seen a few places advertising Hakuna Matata as Japanese even though it's from china.

If it's called Afrika, there's no English at all. If it's called Hakuna Matata most of the text is in English but the speech isn't. If it's called National Geographic: Afrika then it's the US version which was rumoured to be out this side of Christmas by one site but there's been no mention of it by anybody official apart from it is being released sometime.

I'm fed up of waiting though so I've gone for the nearly English version while I wait for the full English, sorry American version to be released.

It's actually Hakuna Matata that has two Asia versions. One is a standard Asian release featuring partial English text, but there is also a full English/full Chinese selectable version available too. There is also a version of Aquanaut's Holiday like this too.

I ordered this along with Aquanaut Hidden Memories. Thats going to be some kickback gaming soon.

btw, for anyone who is still in doubt both games are fully English. I've heard from reliable fellows who also bought these titles earlier. I've also seen screenies etc, except for the manuals its 100% english.

It's been confirmed in a few places, yes. Afrika is even getting a US release, as far as I can tell, rebranded/published by National Geographic - though God knows when it'll turn up this year, so it might be worth picking up the Chinese/English edition anyway.

How much is chinese english version ? as I already got Japanese non english version. Is there anyway I could patch it to show english text ? ie different save.

I paid about 35 euro's for Afrika and about 30 for Aquanaut. Which is half the price of a normal new retail game each.

Waiting for a US version might be well worth the wait for trophyhunters, seeing Sony's 2009 trophy policy and all...

Fastest/cheapest place to order this and Aquanaut (English versions)?

Don't order off Renchi - they sent me out the JPN language one when I ordered the Chinese/English language version.

Has there been any updates about when the National Geographic: Africa version is getting a release yet?

Isn't Renchi notorious for being total failures? I've read lots of complaints regarding their services, the version they send is mostly wrong. I would avoid them at all costs. I just bought from eBay powersellers. They also sent me the right versions of Initial D and Siren in the past.

No word on a US version as of yet.

There has been word - NG definitely have the rights. But the first concrete mention of a date I can Google says end of last year, so I don't know what happened to it since then. Victim of the credit crunch or something?

It didn't ever get an official release announcement for last month from anybody but a lot of people seemed to think it was last month for some reason.
