Keep it drawn any time you're outside of a friendly town/area (Ideally equip something light, as if memory serves it affects your run speed).

Finally bought this a few weeks back off the forum, this has seriously got to be one of the best games I've ever played, and to think I wasn't going to bother buying it thanks to Bethesda saying no DLC for the PS3 version, good job they changed their minds.

Just done the side quest in the little town of Andale, thats got to be one of the most sinister places ever in a game, very creepy.

Anyone know how I can wear the power armor, managed to get hold of the armor from Fort Constantine but it's too heavy, I've been trying to read a few guides and it's says something about Gunny teaching you how to wear it but you need to get permission first, don't know what I need to do next to find him.

              This might help
Power Armor Training is a perk in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Can wear power armor variants.

Cheers, I did try going there earlier but they won't let me in, I take it I have to do a side mission or something, in the story I'm just up to the bit where you have to go to

                Vault 112

, do you gain access to the
                a bit afterwards.

I just started this the other night and I'm fairly enjoying it. Have to agree with whoever said that it is a scary experience. For me this is far more tense and atmospheric than most so called horror games (Dead Space, I'm looking at you with your by the numbers 'jumps'!).

I'm loving the open ended nature of the game, and have avoided reading most information on this game, so I'm playing at as it should be with no prior knowledge. I'm just wandering around and doing a few of the quests that the people in Megaton have given me.

I'm not touching the 'Main' plot yet, as I'v played enough RPG titles in my time to learn that playing side quests and levelling up will get me the most out the game.

My only gripe so far is that the combat can be well dodgy. Just like Oblivion and the games in the series before it, it could do with more impact when your fighting hand to hand, and a more solid experience with the guns would have been preferable. I know it's NOT a FPS, but the game does seem to place a lot of emphisis on combat.

I'd definitely agree with that, started playing Dead Space for the first time last week and gave up in the end as everything just seemed too predictable.

I had a good session on this last night.

Went and done the quest where you encounter the Vampire types known as "The Family". I killed all of them and stole all the items in their hideout! Now I have a cool flaming sword thing to use

When wandering I also found a mansion with two loose women and a lounge lizard type guy who "kept" them. He seemed a prick so I killed him. Unfortunatly the whores were terrified by this and didn't want anything to do with me. I must refine my pulling technique...

Believe it or not I'm still rated as "good" overall! I'v been generally quite helpful and nice to people, but I don't want to be just picking the option I think is good all the time. I'm complex!!!

                            Yeah I killed
as well, felt guilty about it to begin with but I heard a story about him later which backed up my original thoughts of him probably being a bit of a nob so I did the Fallout world a favour.

I started this in Dubai on my 360 but restarted it last week on my PS3. I'm finding it a really engrossing game. Much more so than Oblivion. I'm now at level 10 having done all the side quests that i've found upto the

Project Purity escort through the tunnels

                              bit of the main quest.

I must say that i found it hard going during the first five levels or so as you have no ammo, no decent gun and very little armour and a lot of the early quests have you going into the wastelands and over the river where the mutants are. The GNR quest in particular can be problematic just getting there.

But i have noticed once you get past level 5 and upwards to 10 especially, and you start getting the good stuff, enemies don't tend to be a problem. I just use either my combat shotgun or the A1 Cell gun (whatever) and can kill most all within one or two shots. I suppose it could be down to my skills and perks that i have chosen along the way.

The difficulty is good though on the whole and i must say that i think the combat is excellent.

Once in a while I find video game crack. This is it. Late nights in abundance since I bought it just over a week ago. Still getting my ass kicked on occasion and still nervous about going to certain areas. And how bloody tough are those big bastards with the teeth and the claws!?

Not sure if Edge gave it complete justice. Yes, the mag said that once you were drawn in that was it, but it heavily focused on its flaws (of which there are many) throughout the whole review. I'm not a score man but it deserved an eight really. But then I love atmosphere in games, books, movies, art and so on so I guess that's why I'm so fond of Fallout.
