Anyone know if that patch the other day was to fix the 3rd person view? I just switched to it for the first time in ages and it seems to be a more solid now. Doesnt feel as floaty, unless your strafing.

Hmmm which version are you refering to as I've not had or seen an update or patch for the 360?.

I just use third person and zoom in on the camera a bit so you don't really see the legs, ala Resi 4, then it doesn't look so floaty.

After playing for my first proper session I have a few questions to ask you irradiated veterans:

Are there only 20 levels to advance ? I'm on level four so does that mean I'll only get to assign skill points 16 more times and pick 16 more perks?

With regards to shops, I seem to clear them out of caps pretty easily. Am I their only source or if I go away and come back will there be more caps and equipment there that I haven't sold them myself?

When talking to someone, is it possible to quit the conversation outright? When speech challenges pop up sometimes I want to try my luck later but often there seems no way out of the speech window?

              Thanks!

yeh it's only 20 levels, so 16 more times to assign skill points and 16 more perks. Additional perks are added every 2 levels and the ones you get are based on your SPECIAL stats I think.

Shops get more caps in every so often, not sure how often but whenever I go back to them they have different stuff and their caps are back. Try Rivet city markets when you get there for a couple of shops, also don't forget you can sell over their cap limit and then buy back off them. Always handy to buy more ammo, stimpacks etc and even Moira has a few big items for your house if you have too much to sell; trade her for it.

Some speach challenges happen in the middle of conversations so those you can't back out of, but there are others that are always there as a topic of discussion that you don't have to select right away. Most of the time winning a speach challenge cuts to the chase and you miss out on some other conversation topics if you didn't select them before hand so I tend to leave em til everything else is greyed out.

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to plan out my exp accordingly. I started with INT 10 so I'm already getting the max number of skill points per level up so that's good news. Now I'm torn between taking up my SPECIAL stats by 1 each level using basic training or doing others like Daddies Boy. I assume that when you increase a SPECIAL it's related skills get boosted by +10 or whatever automatically?

Anyone else having any problems with this freezing / any other issues? When I was still in Vault 101 before escaping there was one room where I wasn't able to walk out the door and last night when fast travelling from the super mall to the outdoor cinema as soon as I got there it froze, 3 times in a row it happened . Oh and outside

                    vault 106

                    when I

got attacked by the guys that had a 1000 cap bounty on me

my charachter got stuck in a fence and was killed.

It's crashed on me a few times but ti think that's due to my old box as I hear the telltale lens on dics grind noises.

Hmmm I'm not getting any unusual disk noise. Just tried it again, fast travelled to Bethesda ruins from a random wastelands location and it froze as soon as I got there. Re booted 360 then travelled from wastelands location to Arefu with no problems then tried to go to Bethesda ruins only for it to freeze again, not good .

I had it freeze a few times after playing for a while, resetting the chache helped solving it. It came back again after a few days, but I just cleared the cache again and all was well.

It's my solution for all strange problems, kinda like reinstalling stuff on a PC .

Ho hum. Cleared the cache, loaded up the game, tried to travel to Bethesda Ruins and it still freezes . Took a look on Bethesdas forum and it seems I'm not alone by a long way http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/in...p?showforum=37 Hope they get an update (the PC's had one or two already) sorted for it sooner rather than later.
