    PS3 Version
Just downloaded the Killers pack from the US store (couldn't see it via the UK game) but it doesn't appear to be in the game. Have I just foolishly believed that Activision would support US DLC with the UK game like Rock Band & Singstar etc but being Activision that's not actually the case? $5.49 down the drain?

And to add to my woe I've just found the content on the UK store (couldn't see it via the game though).

:edit: Actually I had US copies of RB1 & 2 so that probably explains why I could purchase US DLC for that.... presumably I won't be able to download from the UK store for the US discs then?
No problems with Singstar though. I definitely have a UK copy of Singstar but US downloads of Alphabeats 'Fascination' & '10000 nights' though.

The majority of DLC for the PS3 is region locked so you need to download from the appropriate store.

        Free 5 songs this way!

I'm not too sure who is entitled to these, as some people are reporting no joy, but I tried with the serial from my guitar (under the batteries) and the code from the instructions in my band in a box bundle, and it seems to have worked.

Says I should get info in 4-6 weeks to ny email telling me how to get them. The songs were a choice from 10. The ones I remember were:

        Oasis- shock of lightning
        Smashing Pumpkins - everlasting gaze
Blind Melon - no rain (?)
        Nirvana (can't remember)
rick springfield (or something like that?) - jesse's girl
        Boston (can't remember)
        the racantours (again can't remember)
        The Killers - Human
        Foreigner (can't remember)
and another one which escapes me at the moment.

Well I got this and... It's no Rock Band, is it?

The tracklist is full of filler, being the main problem.

The new guitar bits ("see-through" gems) are rubbish, you can barely tell the difference so I end up missing loads of the following notes without realising I need to start strumming again. I've just started playing the notes as usual. Waste of time. I'm on an RB guitar though, maybe the magical properties of the GH one make it less rubbish.

How on earth am I supposed to activate star power on drums without screwing up a combo? I was playing Beat It which is easy, but relentless, there's no break at all to activate star power.

Star power phrases, so, so much too long sometimes.

I'll feel better once I've played One Armed Scissor, I'm sure

It's easy enough. You don't have to have a break. Just hit the orange at the same time as a yellow that is already there or vice versa.

                Lil' bump

I was in Rhyl last weekend and stumbled across Guitar Hero Arcade.

I didn't even know such a thing existed!

Part of me thinks it's stooopid because most people who'd play it already have it at home, but the other part of me says if I could ace Hangar 18 on Expert, then it'd well be worth £1!

                Here's a snap-me-do I took:

It didn't distract me from Pac-Man Ball for long though...

I played that GH Arcade a few weeks ago in brighton. Piss Poor would be the 2 words i used. might have just been the machine i used, but it was completely out of sync and made me look like a moron. Wasnt happy!! Didnt waste another £1 on it, but if i could confirm for free that it was just my machine then i might give it another chance!

I also played this is in Brighton at the weekend and it was painfully out of sync. Also they were charging £1 per song, or £2 for the longer tracks like Knights of Cydonia .... what a rip!

Also, there was no Whammy Bar, glad its not just me that saw they were out of sync. Hope they get it fixed (if they can!)

I played the arcade one at Trafford Centre a couple of weeks back and it also felt totally out of sync. £1 per song also so my overall thoughts were that it was pretty pap.

There's been one in the Trocadero since before Christmas. I've played it a couple of times, it's pretty underwhelming. It was in sync, but £1 per song and a selection of tracks that basically just mirrors GH3 is rubbish. Might as well just play it at home.

£1 per song is steep but considering alot of people probabaly spend £1 for 4 to 5 minutes of gameplay on other machines before they die and lose their credit its probabaly resonable in the eyes of the more casual market, which Guitar Hero has a big stake in...

Also Guitar Hero is the Perfect game for people who like to show off, so youd think a public arcade would be the perfect place for it... despite the fact that you probabaly cant hear the songs properly when watching it....

Having said that I havent played the arcade version, and if its out of sync I relaly dont want too.

I played it at ATEI this year and I thought it was awful. An over-priced, out of sync, shoddy port of a game available for consoles but now with an even poorer controller. Knowing how epic the Guitar Freaks games are I'm surprised Konami would even put their name anywhere near this.
