Sorry to bump the thread but I've borrowed GH:WT off a chum and I'm having trouble with the wireless guitar.
Drums and mic work fine.
The guitar only seems to pick up 1 in 3 notes (pretty crucial for these type of games!).
I've tried it on World Tour and Metallica.
I've recalibrated.
I've changed the batteries.
Is there anything else I can check?

A long shot, but could the touch fret board section be messing it up in some way?
When we went through the heatwave in June I was playing GH with the wireless guitar and it wasn't working well. I realised that a nearby fan was playing notes as it pointed towards the fret section.
As I said it most likely isn't that, but it's the only thing I can think of outside of what you have already tried.

I've heard it from a few sources that when strumming with the GHWT guitar there's a definite issue with strumming one way - down, from memory. Think any kind of fix involves soldering so if it's a mate's one (or if you're a ham-fisted ogre like me) that might be a no-go. Try only strumming up for a song, see if that makes any difference?

Thanks for your swift replies!
I don't think that anything could be interfering with the touch panel, but I'll double check.
Fuse, your suggestion of strumming only one way is a good thing to test. I do strum up and down as I'm playing, so this is a possibility.
Might pop home at lunch and try it!

Yeah yeah, RB pwns GH etc.
I'll get it eventually, but it's still pretty pricey at the mo.
Actually, I've just checked, how come it's only £25 at Shopto as opposed to £40 on Play.com and the like?
Are they dodgy or something?
Surely it's better to enjoy GH:WT before being spoiled with Rock Band 2?
I've played RB1, but found there was a real lull in the middle and didn't enjoy playing most of the songs, so I hope the sequel is more consistantly rrrocking!
But anyway, I did pop home at lunch and tried testing the wireless guitar I'm having trouble with.
I went to the recording studio as it shows exactly what you're strumming.
Upward strums work fine, but downward seems to do double strums quite often.
Anybody know what might cause this and any possible fixes?
Thanks for your help so far!
