i'd like to join in as well. only got up to wave 26 on public, and it seems to difficult doing it solo, even on casual!

Cool. I have sent friend requests to you all. I also have some bloke from Moscow looking to get it done, so that makes five. Unlikely that everyone will be online at the same time though, so if anyone else is keen, let us know.
And yeah, it'll be Casual difficulty. That's hard enough when things get busy.

Myself and my brother love this.
                We like 2v2
If you and a friend/partner wants some private 2v2 matches for some good ole fashion pratice gimmie a holla.
We all on tonight add WazMeister24 and we get some 2v2

I think the trouble with hitting wave 50 on Horde is that it will take about three hours or so. In a public room, it's likely that one player might quit. If he/she is the host, then BOOM....

I wonder why its doesn't switch hosts. I recall playing an Xbox game, back in the day, that did this though I can't remember the title.

many games still do ... halo 3 is a prime example

finally got through all the waves in horde thanks to peeven and theforce, it was good fun although having 5 people + teamwork actually made it pretty easy in the end!

Teamwork is the key to Horde. I was playing on Jacinto and we were all camped at one end by the stairs, up to the nade spawn. Because of this, the Locust would alway spawn at the opposite, far end of the map. In that way they would always fall into our trap, and we would just advance and flank them down in true military styleee....

In fact, that was my favourite game so far as none of us died, until the end anyway, and we had perfect coverage with two guys up top, covering the interior bit where the HoD spawns, and the rest facing them off in the open area by the steps leading to the mortar.

Playing with skilled gamers, who know how to play Horde and will pick you up in an instant when DBNO makes all the difference. In fact I doubt if action/shooter gaming gets any better.

Details of what might be in the next Title Update:

Apparently they are (probably) going to address the effectiveness of smoke grenades (yay) and the melee-then-shotgun combo (yay), and add in region filtering so that it will try to "prefer" matching you up with local players for optimum connection speed.
All sounds pretty good. Hurry it up please.

I don't get why they made smoke grenades knock you down in the first place. Not only is it annoying when people leave them on doors or throw them at you, but it limits your ability to use them correctly i.e. for concealment when crossing open ground.
