There's one stage where it's incredibly hard to get the top ranking but on regular playthrough, you won't be stuck on a stage for long. I'm saying this as someone who plays a lot of TD though.

Dig Dug DS was the same - seemed like the normal level was a giant tutorial lasting a few hours. At least the unlocked hard mode was decent.Comment

Incidently if you want a decent web based TD game, check out Desktop Tower Defence (completed it on hard) or Bloons TD 2 (been trying for weeks to beat medium on that).
Warcraft 3 has the best ones though, elemental TD and Maffarazzo (multiplayer co-op TD) are the most fun. Be warned, if you play DotA, it has the worst gaming community known to man, the vast majority of random players are complete dicks to people they don't know.Comment
