I beleive you can pause the game in challenge mode and select options like make the opponent attack you, then they will jump in eventually.

Isn't that just in Training Mode?

You might be doing it too late. Trigger it just as you start to come down from the jump and it should hit as long as you're close enough. Do it too late and it'll look like it should hit, but still miss.

It's actually quite good against an opponent who's about to get up (depending on the character). Also, you can get people dizzy with it in a couple of hits.

I've seen very few people pull it off while standing. Most people will use a move to ground the player (Standing roundhouse for example) while the 720 motion is being pulled. You can do that with the focus attack as well (Timing on this is strict between regaining control after the attack and the crumble being too far gone)... but I find jumping in (While safe) the best way personally.

Yeah, it seems a tough one because you have to grab them to do it I take it?

I'm learning to do it during the hand slap thing. I find it a bit difficult to do a smooth 720 after I've just done a hand slap, so usually it just ends up being an EX spd, but sometimes it does work.

Rubbish. I've played about 10 ranked games and fought maybe 1 ken, and I never get through more than one round in arcade mode before I get a challenge. Must be your connection that's holding you up from getting games, or maybe port forwarding?

Played about 30 games this evening, only came across a couple of Ken's. Seems the 360 crowd are getting a bit bored of him now.

Just hit the '50 wins' achievement along with the '1000 medals' one.

there are a lot of Kens, sure. Though of the few matches I have fought online, I only encountered him once. I have fought a Ryu, a Bison, and a Sakura as well, from what I can remember. And my friend told me that today he fought 2 guiles, 2 akumas, 3 blankas, balrog, fuerte, 2 bisons and a ryu. So, y'know, there are plenty of others out there XD Besides, fighting Ken all the time can help you learn what to do with them.

And I just go on arcade mode and turn requests on. Via this way, I normally get someone jumping in right after the first round starts. I almost never get off the first round of arcade mode, due to repeated random challengers (if the last one leaves), this way. maybe you'd have an easier time finding opponents that way?

I think what he's talking about is if you scan for a match using the quick or custom game settings, more often than not you pick a lobby that's already full or won't let you connect. If you can't connect there is no choice but to go through the process of scanning for another match only for the same thing to happen. Capcom need to patch this game so that you do the initial scan, attempt to join the lobbies available and then you choose to scan again if you can't join anything.

And on the Ken note, I still fight mostly shoto's and I've been playing ranked matches every night this week. Luck (or not) of the draw I guess.

I don't get all the Ken hate, I use Ken and love fighting other Kens. If you play ranked matches then can you really expect people to use characters that they are not great with?

I do like to try out new ones and if my opponent goes straight for a non shoto I will normaly go with Rose as I think she is really good. However if someone starts to just hop from character to character on the select screen I will go straight to Ken.
