Sometimes I noticed I clicked on such a game, in that case I just choose Sagat to avoid any risks and I turtle with anti-air and fireballs. Not because I care about losing/winning, but because I don't want 1 rounders to gain easy BP by whoring a Ken or Akuma.

They suck indeed - been caught in a few. Didnt realise i was in one and the timer ran out - the result i lost 100bp!! as the guy was less experienced than myself.

Need to seek out more "skilled" players because im finding im facing less experienced people (bp wise) getting sometimes as little as 13bp for a victory then losing to a ken/sagat scrub and losing 80bp!!

i been strategising with gief against sagat

Its difficult i admit as sagat along with the shotos seem to have ridiculous priority in some instances - dragon punches seem to override any thing ive got and their sweeps have greater reach than giefs?

Of course all this makes it more satisfying when a victory is achieved esp. when staging a comeback

Mind you i am getting a lil sick of all the shoto users out there - i literally jump up and pay attention when someone is good enough to use one of the lesser or newer characters as it makes it much more interesting.

It sounds like, from what I've been hearing, that 'Gief needs to approach Sagat cautiously (focus/lariat fireballs & use of EX Greenhand, for e.g.) and aim to score a knockdown to get in range for command throws? I dunno much about Gief though...

I've played with a cheap Ryu defense player against my Cammy, who just kept crouching and waiting once i got close he sweeps or shoryuken.
Defense tatics of waiting makes me think i'm not gonna give BP to you. I hate those types of players, no skill at all.

Just stay back yourself DryRice and let him come to you. I hate those types of players as well, I just play them at their own little waiting game.

If I remember right, Ryu's SRK is one-hit. Try focusing it (though do note that any special performed as a reversal will shatter FA) and punishing it on the way down? Same for the sweep, maybe. And you can use jab spinning backfist to hop your way through his fireballs. Once you're within distance, try to catch him as he's throwing one and he won't be able to block it as you sail through his fireball and hit him in the face.

Alternatively, you can always bait the srk...

Is there a problem with the online that causes disconnects between rounds? I've had it happen a few times, and just assumed it was the other person disconnecting, but it just happened to me again and I got a message from the other player accusing me of disconnecting.

I have noticed a pause at the start of a round sometimes, as if it's trying to synch something up.

Yeah, the connection sometimes just drops between rounds. I've had that happen a few times with my friends. I suppose it could be a synching issue, come to think of it...

Anyone know if it's safe to use WD40 on squeaky joysticks ? My stick has slight squeak to it when i pull down - more annoying than anything.

Disconnections are really starting to annoy me in general now. I've had a series of people disconnect as I was about to finish them with an ultra. Ranked is really not a lot of fun. You spend so long waiting or trying to join a game, only to have the other player disconnect or the connection drop before its over. It's hard to get into the swing of things as you spend more time looking at menus than actually playing.

WD40 is a water dispersant, not a lubricant. I guess you could try it though
