I'm still having alot of troble with the challenge mode.

I cant seem to figure out how cancels work exactly, and im having just as much trouble with the timing of the combos. The timing you need is ridiculius.

I've been playing Sagat often though I do want to learn another character. I somewhat want to learn Guile, but since I've only started to use a joystick, I do find charging tougher than the circular movements on the shotos.

I'm starting to hate the character screen psychology whereby idiots seem to hover over every character before choosing Ken anyway. It then annoys me further when they are **** and I proceed to give them a good and deserved kicking.

Predicting your opponent's dragon punch is pretty important. I'm sure most people here can read when Ryu and Ken will do theirs, and it's a pretty easy move to counter once they are starting to land. I dominated my mate the other night. We went to 10 games with me all winning 10. I wanted to end it but he insisted and from there it soon became 20 games. I actually felt bad for him in the end. But it did teach him to not just pull off his dragon punch continuously with Ken and actually play somewhat more strategically.

When you land a hit on your opponent you get a hint on your opponent's vitality meter (moving lights on the meter's edge). Try land the next hit as the lights hit the end of the vital meter. A lot of them just need really fast inputs. I don't really use the vital meter hints to be honest, though.

Checkout this guy's YouTube stuff for a looksy.

Wow, took some massive beatings on online last night mainly due to lag. Just can't get moves out in time and I'm suffering because of it.
          Kept you waiting, huh?

I've played upwards of 40 games so far I think and I've only had one or two that have been affected by lag - you sure the problem isn't with your connection?

EDIT: Played lots more last night as Zangief. I think I had a roughly 50/50 win rate (Better than the night before) as I'm slowly coming to terms with what I need to do on certain matchups. I can easily identify what I need to do now, but can't always necessarily pull it off. Bison is a pain in the arse for Zangief from what I can tell. >_<

Actually it's the other way around; lariat beats psycho crusher every time, & slide has to be well timed to knock Gief out of his lariat. If you whiff the headstomp or devil reverse, you're in for a whole world of SPD hurt, he can grab Bison out of scissors & if Gief manages to corner you & you have no meter it's goodnight vienna.

I play as Bison, & coming up against a good Gief player is a nightmare.

I saw some incredible stuff with Daigo as Ryu (my main) im absolutely useless connecting even simple things like H.Shoryuken, Dash Cancel, Metsu Hadouken. I cant nail down the timing at all...

...and a slighly 'not safe for work' Sakura spot.

make sure when you hit the shoryuken, hold down mp+mk and dash, but keep them held until you dash - do the hadouken motion while you're dashing

teleport - My friend is a formidable Bison player, and he abuses that move like a little bitch.

Dan is the only person where crouch-taunt is an answer to Sagat's high-fireball XD

Heh, you know I didn't even try it (Despite using it A LOT against the constant fireball spam in other matches) - just assumed it would lose!
