The other day I saw an Akuma with Revenge meter in flames flashing "ULTRA!!!", Akuma was stood at the other side of the screen doing little jabs with the odd light kick thown in repeatedly. Looked like he was taking a fit lol. Wonder what he was doing? I thought "aaaah bless".

That seems to happen every time I play an Akuma - 1 screen away, breakdancing.

there are a bunch of setups for the demon - think you can actually FADC a shoryuken into it, as it'll catch them falling.

I don't mind playing ken/akuma scrubs so far, every missed dragon punch is another chance to practice c.mk - c.jp - headbutt - ultra with 'rog

Her Ultra move is pure skank. Starts off low which is really easy to catch people off guard with.

You can do EX hurricane - ultra really easy, also. no FADC or anything required. **** hot.

Yeah, I grabbed Akuma out of his Raging Demon with Zangief's ultra a few nights back.

I've done that too. Great stuff. Must try with the flying power bomb, to see which wins.

Akuma's ultra's actually a lot easier to pull off than people make it, as you can press the last three inputs at the same time. So instead of LP, LP, <-, LK, HP you can just do LP, LP, <- + LK + HP.

I don't heh... but yes, done that a couple of times as well to probably much gnashing of teeth from my opponent.

Three good ways I ve found of sneaking it in without gving your opponent a clue your attempting it are:

1. Off a connected aerial kick
2. Whilst on the ground
3. Just after a teleport which places you right close to them

Ugh, I played a Sagat who did little more than that before I started playing you last night - didn't seem to have anything to combat it as 'Gief.

EDIT: Can someone confirm that the grab based Ultras are unblockable? Zangief and Seth I'm thinking are unblockable, as is Akumas Raging Demon (Which I know isn't grab based). Is jumping the best counter to these moves?

Every sagat plyer i ve faced has employed this technique yet i seem to have a 50% win rate with zangief

Once im in close its ta ta but its getting there thats the problem. If you lariat through his fireballs he can connect on tiger knee that sends you right back to your end of the screen and back to square one. His fire palm can block but timing is an issue with me - a good combo i ve found is a fire palm that blocks a fireball up close then straight into 360 with kick which catches them off guard.

the beauty pack does look pervy nice but i heard that the whole pack which comes out with all the characters together will cost only 1000ms points.

maybe it comes out this friday?

Is the first pack out on the European PSN yet? It wasn't last I checked. This always seems to happen with DLC. It comes out on both systems for all regions, except PS3 in Europe.

The initial rumours were that the compilation pack would be out at the end of April. I'm going to try and hold out for it, whenever it comes out. Not sure what kind of chance I have at being successful though.

The Beauty Pack was due out yesterday according to the official blog post on Capcom Unity a week back. Maybe it's on the US Marketplace?

The EU PSN store is a joke, innit? Looks like that'll be a week behind the rest of the world. Sounds normal to me.
