    Well I picked this up about a week ago but with my parents over I only got the chance to sit down and play this tonight.

    Lovin' it. I can see how there's going to be spammers online as lets face it there always is no matter what the game but offline Im finding this to be pure bliss. A good mix of old and new.

    Only thing Im annoyed about so far. There doesnt seem to be anywhere in Australia to pick up a decent stick or those fightpads. I know they're rocking horse poo right now and going for stupid prices on ebay but does anyone know somewhere to import?

    At the moment Im using my modified 360 controller with a controller-S dpad and its ok but hard to pull off moves with the shoulder buttons.

    ...and one last question, whats this championship edition DLC/patch coming? Please tell me this is going to upgrade the 1on1 lobby to be like the coin-op 4 person lobby they had on XBLA for SFII?

    I dont really care for ranked matches but I would love to get some of my mates into this and play some round-robin tourneys where we can all watch the match in progress.

      Sagat's standing HK owns all the screen when I play He's tough to fight with Gief, but with Dhalsim it would probably be a nightmare for me.

        I've beaten a few Sagats using Dhalsim, but it's extremely hard work. At a distance it's not so bad, but it seems impossible to do anything from a fall with Sagat standing over me.

        Has anyone completed Dhalsim's trials? I'm stuck really early on with a fairly simple one. It's asking me to do a medium kick into a light yoga flame, but I just can't string them together for the life of me. I've tried what feels like every variation in timing and it's not happening. Any tips?

          If I remember correctly, you may need to hold back when doing the punch so it's a short punch.

                Nah, that's exactly what I need as it will require to come up with new stuff. I can already see what I think are viable combo options but not yet got the dexterity to pull them off yet. I've also cleared a few of Chun-Li's trials and already got a couple of new tricks that I've managed to pull off.

                To be honest, the first fight where I chose Sakura I didn?t even know what her Ultra command was. And just tried everything I remembered from Alpha 2.

                ?Shinkuu Hadoken ? nope!?

                ?Double Shoryuken ? nope!?

                I went back to Ryu?s Hard Trials last night and just got the last one left to do (which is insanity) but the 3rd Hard one epitomises why FADC has the potential to be godly in the right hands and is what I?d like to be able to do with my Ryu. There are certainly some combos in Trials that are clearly impractical for most situations but there?s nothing in there that is too difficult individually. Jump in attack, 2in1 H. Punch to Shoryuken, FADC and Metsu Hadoken to catch them as they fall.

                Oh and apologies Hoolak, I never ignored your invite last night. I tried to accept but got the ?Unable to join session message?. Another time hopefully.

                This game is wrecking me though. The nights are getting later as the ?one more fight? turns into 5. Then when I do get to bed I?m either running over the fights I lost in my head to work out where it went wrong or thinking about what new combos I can come up. Totally overslept this morning because of it. Probably need to take a break (or at least not play as much) this evening to recover.

                  Enjoying playing online - i seem to exclusively using zangief and i m a ltlle tired of scrubs using ken and akuma grubbing out victories using cheap tactics

                  One thing that makes me laugh is defeating people using zangiefs ultra - the amount of connections "lost" just before that move completes itself is ridiculous. Why cant people just be graceful in defeat.

                  There is nothing wrong with you losing after spending all game doin fireball after fireball after fireball from the corner .

                    No probs, another time. Hopefully that "Unable to Play" message was a one off. Been able to play a few others off this forum, so fingers crossed.

                    I also don't mind anyone going just one character in friendly spars (even if it is Ken ). I need to keep practicing with jelly-belly Rufus.

                      Ugh, I played a Sagat who did little more than that before I started playing you last night - didn't seem to have anything to combat it as 'Gief.

                      EDIT: Can someone confirm that the grab based Ultras are unblockable? Zangief and Seth I'm thinking are unblockable, as is Akumas Raging Demon (Which I know isn't grab based). Is jumping the best counter to these moves?

                        Yeah, I think for Gief's Ultra your opponent just needs to be in range and on the ground as you unleash. However, I'm not entirely sure if an opponent can counter it by unleashing an Ultra just after. Might be worth trying out in Training Mode with the Record/Playback option. Record Gief's Ultra, play it back and try and release an Ultra with Ryu or someone whilst Gief's Ultra animation starts.

                          Akuma’s Super/Ultra is actually a really low priority. I’ve been caught with it a couple of times (including once by Fallows last night ;_; ) but you can jab/short him out of it. I’ve even beaten an Akuma who used his Ultra and I countered with my own which easily took priority over it.

                          Actually got a message off the player after that. Wasn't whining or complaining but just said "wow"

                              The other day I saw an Akuma with Revenge meter in flames flashing "ULTRA!!!", Akuma was stood at the other side of the screen doing little jabs with the odd light kick thown in repeatedly. Looked like he was taking a fit lol. Wonder what he was doing? I thought "aaaah bless".

                                Akuma's is the only Ultra I can get off consistantly
