Crossfire was an awesome map. All I want in this DM is the gauss gun (tau cannon), some trip mines, remote bombs and some physics traps littered around the level and I would be set. I used to play that map over and over and over. I also hope they create some cool new maps that are based around one particular thing like the water room map in the original (I forget what it's called) those were quite fun to play as well.

Played the deathmatch last night. Your all bonkers! That was the most fun I've had in a multiplayer for ages.

I thought the maps werent bad either especially the prison type level.

Valve will bring new maps out and tweak things further but for a start I think it is great!

Alot of the problem with both HL1DM and HL2DM is server admins are morons. The maps for both these games are designed for less than 8 players. Preferably more like 5 or 6. But they all set up 14 and 16 player servers.

Same thing happens in The Specialists. Only a handful of admins actually play the game and understand what makes for good server settings.

Gordon kept his suit at the end of half-life, the gman takes all your weapons but says he "thinks you've earned it" so erm, either the gman made sure the resistance would find it and give it to you and thats it in kleiners lab (although I'm sure he remarks it's a newer version than the suit in HL1, or else there's just a small hole in the plot there.

Umm apparently it's knocking about on the server lists. Haven't had a chance to look myself yet but a m8 says he's seen dm_crossfrie and crossfire 2 on the lists so dunno if someone has knocked it together asap.

Anyone confirm...?

Scrap that, it's definitely out but looks like there may be a few different versions, I assume they're homemade as it were. Excellent news...

It's all about Team Deathmatch in HL2! Not many servers have it, but it owns. Being backed up by a team of guys, all gravv-ing the place up together, is teh win.

Plus, it makes it less likely you'll have a filing cabinet smashed into your head 2 seconds after spawn.

I'm wondering if they'll make any epic-scale cross-country levels. With vehicles and shiznit. I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Just started playing this today as I finished my last exam The game is so impressive I don't have words to describe it. Everything is scripted to perfection and some parts of the game really require you to think. Some of the puzzles are just plain impressive! My only dissapointment is that the game seems a bit buggy. Their is some speech stutturing and the load times between stages is annoying (takes a couple of mins) and when I change a setting (graphical) it takes 5 mins till I can get to the resume screen
