Planes are a bitch to control, but otherwise its good fun.............& theres actually a Southpaw layout too (about f*ckin time EA!).

Gotta ask why such a big company wasn't prepared for the large numbers of players - I know the tech guys are working hard to get more servers online which is appreciated but a leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Gutted as I was really enjoying it earlier.

There you go again, dismissing dedicated servers because they go against what you're used to on Live.

I'm pretty sure right now BF1943 is experiencing no more server load than L4D, or the original BF PC games when they launched, or Counter Strike, or Team Fortress, or any one of a hundred hugely popular PC games that somehow, shock horror, manage to cope with server load just fine.

All that happened was EA underestimated demand and didn't have enough VMs setup. Their mistake.

Dedicated servers are not the problem. Multitude PC games use this system as well as a number of PS3 games e.g. Warhawk and do so without issue. The problem is getting the number of servers right. Everyone underestimates it. You really would have thought they'd have learnt by now!

Had intended to get this on ps3 tomorrow but I'm holding fire now until I see how it's working!
