They remind me of the helicopters in Bad Company where you feel like you spend more time fighting the plane than you do your enemies. It's weird given how pick and play the other vehicles are. I think I'd have gotten on better with them if the game featured customisable controls

The servers are currently down for maintenance. My guess is that wednesday and thursday EA added the extra servers, and today they are properly incorporating them in to the correct regions and hopefully they'll will be fine for the weekend.

For this type of game they should have just copied Warhawk IMO. However, I do enjoy flying the planes and if you get good at it you could be very dominant I expect.

Has anyone managed to get a game with the trial version? I really want to get a feel of it before I purchase. Haven't managed to get a game yet Been trying on and off since Wednesday.

I would wait untill the issues with server capacity are fixed, then play the trial. At the moment it's on and off wether you get a game.

PS3 servers are fine apparently, probably due to low demand. Joking.

It's (so far!) fine on PS3. I did make sure that the demo worked before I paid up though.

Accoring to the Battliefield Developers DICE:

PS3 having less layers in it's configuration has meant that it is running smoother.

Sounds to me like EA's insistence on doing their own thing rather than just using Live is the cause of the problem. For once Sony's attitude of "It's your game, you sort out the networking" is paying off.

I thought it would just be the fact that there's a huge demand to play it on 360, causing problems and EA somehow didn't expect it.

Is the 360 one a better choice in terms of players then? Just trying to decide between the Xbox and PS3 version.

Depends on your friends list for both I suppose, personally I've never found much in the way of a difference user wise in Live or PSN. Live has more users generally but you'd be hard pressed to notice in most games given games are player capped. Especially here where it just auto drops you into an available server rather than having you choose.

the PS3 servers aren't fine this morning or today ive been trying since 10 am and haven't got in a game yet, not really surprised as EA aren't really good at networking most games on their servers are crap if you can remember burnout revenge and others, you'd think they could afford a few people to get it done but good ol EA want to do everything on the cheap.

I don't think it's EA. Burnout Paradise has been flawless on both systems since launch hasn't it?

The server's are EA's... that's how they roll. They like to spam you with emails when you first connect, and then pull the plug on the servers when you least expect it.

I imagine they invested more in the Burnout servers though.

yes paradise is fine, but if you ever played revenge or army of two ( only people in same country could play DOH this is the internet ) on EA servers you'll know what im talking about.

I do know what you mean mate. I have never been able to play more than 3 holes in Tiger Woods 08 with my mate down the road. A 2 player game and they couldn't maintain a connection or get voice comms working. I'm just saying that it's not some insurmountable problem they have. They just choose not to be arsed most of the time.
